Hello all, First I just wanted to say that I lurked around the site all day reading various replies and I just had to register. The majority of posters here seem to be knowledgeable about their Z cars and whatnot. I see a kind of maturity not too prevalent in online car forums. The 240z has always been my dream car, and hopefully I can locate one in the not-to-distant future for restoration. Cheers, Arvin

Just stumbled onto the site a few days ago, and after lurking about a bit, decided to join up. Currently I don't own a Z-car, although I am looking for something to replace my Mazda 3 which is for sale. I can't justify the payment, considering I'm just driving it maybe 20 miles a week. Also there is the fact that I've been bitten by the AutoX bug, and while the 3 performs well, I miss RWD. I've always thought the Z's were a beautiful car, so maybe now is my time to get one? I'm not a total mechanical newbie, I've helped my dad repair the family chariots a few times, and rebuilt a couple of old dirt bikes and an old Chevy Pickup in my younger years. Recently I kept a half-…

My name is Kari. (Originally from Finland) I bought a 280ZX from my friend, planning to restore it. To make long story short - because of the body was so badly rusted I had to quit working on it. I took the engine, suspensions, steering and differential out of the car (the only good parts). Now I have them all in my garage and I'd like to sell them cheap, to who ever needs them. The car was 1982 model with 120K miles on it and it was left to the back yard waiting for new 'belly' steel. The engine was still running good, but the floor was not safe anymore! Please contact me through this forum, or email (karilahtonenpfs@aol.com)

I'm new here and this is my first post. This club has been very helpful in my Z project. I've been able to find most of the information I need by using the search feature but I've not been able to find two things. 1. I need a mast for my 73 Z OEM antenna. The search shows that they should be available but I'm unable to find them. Can anybody help? 2. Which side of the rear should the tow hook go on. I'm in a reassembly mode and forgot where it was. Thanks, Larry

Hey ... Im not exactly a new user but I never posted here when I registerd so I figured I would now. First off No I do not own a Z but I almost did back when I registerd and I might soon if the deal is accepted. I like to register at clubs like this even if I dont own the car just cause I am a car nut I love classics and the Z just has that look to it that catches your eye. The fact that the Z is a legend also helps . As for what I do have in my diveway ... Well nothing special. 1983 Mustang LX Hatch. Black Hand build 4" Cowl hood, My dad built it. 302ci out of a 1968 Mustang, Converted to 5 lug rims, Dual exhaust with the right pipe hidden as it was a 4cyl car ....…

Hi Guys, my name is Raj and I'm from Malaysia, I'm generally into Japanese Classics not having a specific preferences, some of my favourites are of course, 240Z, KPGC10, Celica TA22, and Mazda RX3. Celicas and Mazdas are more common in Malaysia than the 240Z and the KPGC10. To exactly tell you guys to date I've seen five 240Z and one KPGC10 but the skyline was in a very pity condition, so this means coming across a 240Z will cost you a lot in Malaysia, so that is why I haven't got one yet, at the moment I drive a 1971 Celica TA22 ST. I see the technical forum very useful and I hope to see more technical articles on sidedraft carburetors. Cheers. Regards Raj

Hello! I've sort of been lurking in here for a while, and yesterday decided that it was time to get signed up and start participating. I'm 36, have owned 510s in the past but this is my first Z. I bought a '71 last fall - it's white with a blue interior and a five-speed tranny - and have been slowly going through it. It is all pretty much original, so I replaced the 'worn out' stock suspension with Tokico shocks and springs, installed ES bushings all around and an ST sway bar up front....then I got busy on the brakes. Slotted rotors, newly rebuilt calipers and Hawk pads, new Brembo drums and Nissan shoes in the rear. Braided stainless hoses are giving me a nice firm peda…

hopefully what a good friend of mine said about this site is true. i am going to be re-united with my z-car in dec. my nissan truck has been my 280zx stand in for over a year now and i am going through withdrawls. i finally got my wife to agree on getting my car to my current location so it can be givin the love it needs. aside from minor body work, a slight engine overhaul, and its fair share of gremlins.....this car will be one of my best projects yet. this project will be my first full size one, for all of my other projects were super-hopped up lawn mowers and r/c cars. thank you all in advance for any help you might give me, for i will need it and greatly app…

Hows it going everyone? Brand new here. Dont have a Z yet but plan on getting one from the junk yard as a shell and completly redo everything. My father used to own a old 240z but sold it about 15 years ago to help pay for the family and get a more practicle car(van). I hope to finish it within a year or two and surprise him with it as a present (mebe we will share the car :lick: ). Anyways I own a 2005 Mitsubishi Evo but have always loved all the Z's and especially old school datsuns.
