Hello from Michigan. We have a 260z which we're anxious to start restoring. Luckily, it's in pretty good shape. Interior needs more work than the body. As usual, the dash is unusable. Will a 76 280z dash fit my 260? Thanks for any and all advice.

Hi Zcar Members! My wife is actually the the Z owner in the family. She received a new '1973-240 Z when she graduated from college in 1973. It now has 48608 original, documented miles on it. Yes, 48608! The original silver paint did not hold up well, so it was repainted in 1982. The SU carberators continually vapor locked in the summer, so I put 2 Weber carberators on it in the early '80's. It runs great with the Webers. Other than that, it is all original and has been stored in the in-laws garage for over 20 years. It is now stored in my garage and I was looking for some parts to make minor repairs. I just by chance found the Zcar Club on the internet and had no id…

Is there a problem with Victoria British (or Victoria whatever) weatherstrips for 71-73 cars? I have installed one on the driver's side and it seems too thick as you rewally have to SLAM the door. Been in for a week and doesn't deem to be getting any better. Gary Haslip

I was looking at the catagories on this site and relized that I had never introduced myself. I've been a member of this site for over 3 years and learned just about everything I know about Z cars from here. This has been an awesome resorce for me. My car is a total restoration, I found it in a dirt lot in Fontucky (A.K.A Fontana) missing a front tire and the driver side window. The window had been gone for over a year and in that time the dirt from the lot had moved into the car ... about an inch of it! The Body was about as straight as a 90 year old womans face. The engine had spider webs and dirt all over it, and the PO had tried to make some sort of a dragster o…

Hi all, Well, after seeing/riding in my buddies z, im hooked, I'm trying to buy a first gen Z, then turbo and megasquirt an L28 for it. My current hot rod is a 1995 Camaro z28 with twin 70mm T4 turbos. 8.4:1 CR forged bottom end, 4 bolt splayed main caps, trick flow heads, custom grind turbo cam, and a megasquirtII ecu running it all...its a pretty wild setup, but i think a little z car would be alot of fun, so im gonna try something new and build a small turbo motor...keep an eye out for pics as i buy/build my datsun!

I have also installed a r200 3.9:1 diff, t-5 transmision, MSA sway bars, poly bushings and KYB shocks. I am curently in the prosess of building an engine for it (f54 block flat top pistons, n42 head). I have spent hours upon hours reading posts and threads learing about Z cars and just wanted to say thanks! I could not have done it without this…

Hello everyone. I have been lurking the boards for a year or 2 off and on, and I absolutely love the 240zs. I currently have an R32 Skyline that I am selling off, which I hate to do, but I think its time to get me my datsun finally. anyway just had a couple questions that I couldn't find a clear answer. -body-wise, is there a difference between the 240/60/80z? Other than bumpers and minor details? -How easy is it to swap from auto to 5 speed? -Is there a large difference in power from the 280 engine over the 240? I keep finding mixed numbers. -Everyone says to stay away from the 260, is the problem other than the engine with them? -Would it be a bad idea to drive one …

Hi, my name is Holly and I am selling my 1986 300 ZX TURBO. It is loaded and in great shape. It has been maintained by a mechanic and has new starter motor, distributor, alternator, brakes, T-TOP, stereo system and carpet which has not been installed but was special ordered from NISSAN. Please make an offer. I can be reached at hollyandrea@netzero.com I would rather sell this to a person that loves Z's than a young person that may hurt it. It has been kept in such good shape for so long. THanks

I LOVE BOTH OF MY Z CARS Hi My Name is Kathy: I live in Oregon, About 3yrs ago I picked up my 1st zcar. It is a 1972 240z. I got it for $500 It needs a paint job but its straight and the interior is almost perfect everthing is original and it all works even the AM radio. I didnt have the time for it so I gave it to my 6yr old grandson. I figure he's got 10 yrs to restore it to his perfection and of corse get his license.
