Working on a hell of a deal (read free) on a 1982 280ZX turbo that is solid, and 90% complete. Just have to install the engine and transmission and if it bothers me, a newer fresh interior. There are some things involve, but mostly helping a friend move some stuff over the course of a few weekends. My vision for this car is to start back up in some autocross events. I do want to keep the car streetable and presentable but want it to be more of a fun car. Now, just working on the wife to accept another project. Granted, the 65 mustang is mostly done. It's running and road worthy. Just a few more last minute projects I want to complete prior to calling it done for a y…

Hi everyone, I have been lurking on this forum for a while trying to soak up as much as I could. I have dreamed of having a Datsun Z for quite a few years now and finally have enough spare cash to purchase a fairly decent one. Hopefully I can find one by the time late spring rolls around. I am sure I will be posting on here regularly asking for advice, so thank you in advance. Dan

Hello all. My name is Scott and I'm from the Reno area in northern Nevada. I've recently gotten my hands on a '73 240Z. Over the past 30 or so years I've owned a '70 Fairlady Z, a '72 240Z, a '73 240Z and a '74 260Z. My current '73 is my fifth first generation Z, but the first one I've had in 13 years. I've been away for far too long. I'm looking forward to chatting with you. Cheers, Scott

Hey everyone my name is John. I'm a long time Z fanatic. I would dare as far to say my high school love was my 82 280zx. Shortly after buying it the oil rings seized up and it was time for the fun to begin. Ordered a motorsport cam, arizonazcar four barrel intake and edlebrock 500cfm carb, along with many other engine and suspension upgrades. Point is when I lost the car in an accident I felt like I lost a piece of me. A few years later I met up with a local man who had a 1970 240z for sale which I managed to purchase. The plan was a V8 conversion (which looking back on I would have regreted) The car sat while I collected the pieces to build the 327 that was going in it. …

I've been a member here for several years now and decided it's high time to introduce myself. My brother and I bought a 73 240z a few years ago, which is when I became a member here, for the purpose of building a track car (road racing). We have had it out to the track quite a few times since, and must say it feels right at home on the track. The first time out, we drove it in it's stock form including tire size and compound. So far we've driven Willow Springs (big track and streets) and Buttonwillow, both are in Southern California close to where we live. We are slowly converting over to a fully prepped, dedicated racer as time and money allows.

I am not a current owner, but have been offered a '73 240 Z by a friend at no cost to me. I recently conveyed my desire to restore a car myself to a customer at work, who in turn asked me to research the 240 Z and get back to him. The car has been sitting for 10 years and needs a lot of work. He acquired the car with the intentions of working on it himself, but got lost in the rebuilding of a Harley and simply lost focus of it altogether. The car is mine, if I want it, for free. I've joined this forum in hopes of getting an idea of the difficulty, cost and knowledge requirements, and parts availability for the 240 Z. Here's the fun part: I'm a 26 year old female with NO …

hey all , figured i would say hi and show you my 1971 240z. the car started life as a west coast car so it enjoyed the life of no salt or snow, when i bought it it had been on the east coast for a very short time so it was still 100% rust free. the old inline 6 had also been long gone and it was a v8 car for a few years before i got it, the interior was still bone stock with redone oem seats and oem carpet. the first combo i ran in the car was a stock 98 ls1 and a d&d built t56. the ls1 used a single turbo set up using a 72 mm turbo. the rear end was converted to a r200 and zxt cv shafts and modern motor sports billet stubs and cv adapters. the car ran great on th…

Just joined. After a long hiatus from Zs I'm looking to rejoin the likes of the rest of you. It's been 25-30 years since I had my last 240z. I had a 70 and a 72. More recently I was driving a 67.5 Roadster (SPR 311). Never had the 2LTr, but I'd like to have one, But I'm in the hunt for a 240z. I'm finding that one in good condition at a reasonable price don't last long when they come up for sale. Anyone interested in parting with your Zcar please let me know. I'm trying to stay east of the Mississippi for transport purposes. Unless...the price is really good.

Hey guys my name is Kyle. I am from Southern Indiana. I currently own two z31s. I know it isn't a classic Z just yet, but I love those cars more then anything. I am currently building an engine for my 86' and hope to have it finished and in the Z by the beginning of summer. I joined here because I love 240zs. I have always wanted one, but couldn't find the right one for the right price. I am already part of 300zx forums and figured I might as well give this place a shot and see if I can find that right 240z.

Hey from down south! Bought my 240z about 15 years ago & have been modifying since. What a beautifully designed body she has with fine lines echoing Ferrari and a beefy stance all its own. Look at the hood. Has a race history w/ Paul Newman driving and still works SCCA club events like always. My Z is one handsome SOB with the guts to take on pretty much any car at the light. Gotta love being a sleeper. Looking forward to getting to know you guys & seeing your Zs with both their stock & modified beauty & splendor.
