Hi everybody, I Registered yesterday to get some help and make new friends I'm in the process of buying a early 240Z and in currently resto-modding a '78 280Z, but I want the 240 to be as original as possible. Some facts about me: I live in the Capital city of the State of Baja California: Mexicali, wich is near zip code 92231 (Calexico). Both Calexico & Mexicali are sister cities was far as I know. There is a border crossing so every month i make some trips to Calexico for food, paying some bills... Im 24 years old, single and i own a appliance rental shop, specialized in rental and repair of washers and dryers. About my cars: The 280Z that i bought about a year an…

Hey guys, I just bought a '73,S30 w/ a 2.6 and 4 speed. Believe it or not it's a one owner that he says has always been garaged. I sent it to a Nissan dealer for inspection and i believe the service manager went over it very closely. He found three issues that are semi serious; "could use" a clutch and radiator soon-ish..the other is a small rust area behind drivers door. I've done some Formula Ford racing and have been into cars and bikes since I was a kid and I'm very excited about this project. I've always appreciated the Z for the icon that it is. My plan is to build a weekly driver/track day car. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I should start? I'll star…

Hey all, Just purchased a 1 owner, unmolested, and unrestored 1974 260z to keep my Factory Five Cobra company. Originally was thinking of doing a V8 conversion but am now thinking I'll keep it mostly stock. Great site and I look forward to learning some more about the early Z's from you guys. Hey guys!! Well I'm an new Z owner, I've been waiting more than 30 years to get my Z, so about a month ago a 1977 280Z came up for sale at a good price and, well let's just say I have a new love in my life. To put the icing on the cake, I went to the DMV and the personalized license plate I was hoping for was also available. The Z is not perfect but to me it's a diamond in the rough. I just wanted to say HI. Garry

I signed up yesterday and just wanted to shout out and say "Hi" to everyone. I've been a Z lover for 12 years, ever since I found my 73. It was my first car, and I plan on keeping it as long as possible. I will get some pictures up soon hopefully. Bryce

After 12 years of ownership, countless hours, days and years of blood, and sweat, I sold my 240Z. It was not an easy decision, and one that has disturbed the nature of the force. Friends from far and wide...some on this site, and on others, think I am crazy....my kids want to dis-own me....my wife is worried I will just find another basket case project. I just felt I needed to step back a bit, and re-evaluate where I was going with my life and my cars. I am not ready, nor do I think I ever will be, for a trailer queen track car, and that is where the Z was heading. I had tweaked the susp and the engine to the point that it was almost a labor just to drive it on the s…

I am 18 and saved up enough money to buy myself a 1974 S30! It was a L26 dual weber card powered car but that changed quick into a RB25-det. Love of my life. I try to keep the car as stock as posssible but with the mileage i got from the carbs i needed some modern tech.

The Z bug has bit me once again and thanks to the internet I'm finding there is an incredible amount of information out there. This site is one of the best so I figured it was time to make it official and join. The Z bug first bit when I was 19 and I found the '73 (bought it in '89) that I still own today. It used to get driven much more often but family and kids keep it in the garage more than I like, but at least I kept it! (pretty tempting to sell the toy to buy first house, second house, remodel, etc. but so far so good!!) Hoping this is the year that she finally gets new paint but time will tell. There always seems to be something in the household that takes priority…

Here's the story. I found a red 1979 Nissan/Datsun 280z on Friday evening, and went to pick it up with my dad on Saturday morning, the car was advertised as $500, runs&drives come take a look. A 20 minute drive to Fremont and I was standing in front of a much cooler car than I remembered 280z's being. I used to own a 1985 Corvette, but it's long since been gone, (spun a bearing and sold it for $2,000.) The seller was an awesome guy about my age, and he told me about the issues with the car... -engine misfires -Rust chunks in some areas of the paint -slow leak in front right tire -no battery -needs a tune up -??? miles because the odometer is 5 digits, and …

I just wanted to say hi from(warm/sunny) Dallas. I posted a front valance and strut insulators for sale and sold them almost immediately! I have many great memories associated with Zcars. I have owned 43 total over the years. I currently own a '81.5 turbo 280zx(black and gold) w/ 60K original miles and a '71 240. Years ago I decided to get a '71 and rebuild it. I was born in 1971 and I wanted to be driving a 40y/o Z on my 40th birthday.

Hi all! Just joined up as have bought a 240z Californian Import in the UK. Pick it up this weekend so am very excited! Seems being a US car, that it might prove useful to be in touch with US owners, seeing as it's all back to front (I'm prepared to be flamed for that comment!!) LHD doesn't bother me though, as I tend to spend a lot of time in Europe (who, like the US, drive on the wrong side of the road!! ) so it will prove helpful over there! Anyhow, have some pics here: On the trailer: In the garage: Lots of things I want to do to it, but first it's UK convert (so Euro front & rear lights plus relevant rewire) and then rust proofing, more rust proofing, …
