Hello all, I joined in October and finally had a chance to upload some photos. This is my 4th 240z and I purchased this car this past October. I purchased my 1st Z (an Orange 1972) in 1980 while in high school and been hooked ever since. This 1973 240Z was originally from Pennsylvania. The 2nd owner bought it 2005 and totally restored it. I was fortunate enough to buy it from him and am now the caretaker. Unlike the previous 3 Z, I've finally found a car that doesn't need bodywork. The only things that don't work are the clock and radio. The car has the four piston front brake upgrade and I plan to install a 79-81 280ZX brake master cylinder in the spring. The stock…

Hey guys, I love old Z's and I've always wanted to restore one/build one up but my DD which is a V6 firebird is starting to go out and I was wondering how many of you daily drive an old Z and how reliable one would be. I was looking and locally I found this one which I thought seemed to be a good deal for the mileage. Let me know what you guys think and if I was going to get one I'd like to stay from 70-78. http://kansascity.craigslist.org/cto/2104516453.html

Hello fellow Z enthusiasts, My name is Keith Johnson. I am from central Ohio, and I own a 1970 240z. It is my second Series 1 z car. (My first was back in the '70s.) As for this one, I'm the third owner, however, the second owner only had the car for a few months before I purchased it (so I think of myself as "essentially" the second owner). The original owner had it for 40 years, but parked it in 1974 with only 52K miles on it. Being from Ohio it has some rust issues, and I think that's why the original owner parked it. (He had even purchased new fenders that he never installed.) It has had some amateur body work on the rear wheel arches, and the fenders have some…

Hello, I am a new member and the proud owner of a 1974 Datsun 260Z. I purchased this car in 1978, but she has been parked for 26 years because it stranded my wife and I after a new years eve party at 2:00 A.M. Some times it would start and some times it would just crank. I retired a few years ago and back in October 2010, decided to put the Z back on the road. I have rebuilt the motor and clutch, replaced the brakes, fuel lines, coil and ignition unit (source of not starting in 1984), all hydraulic cylinders, had the fuel tank and radiator flushed, fixed most of the lights or switches, and now working on the 1972 su HJG46W carburetors. After a very enjoyable conversation …

Hello everyone I have a 76’ 280Z Black on Black, the body is rusted really badly. I am looking for another 76’ body. In the mean time I am going to take out the engine and transmission of the car that I have now and sell it and junk the shell of the car. I live in Miami, Florida. If one of you all knows of someone that is selling a 280Z shell or with motor in it for a reasonable price please let me know I will post some pic’s so you all can see how full of rust my Z really is.

Hi, I recently became the owner of a '74 260z. She's in pretty good shape but I am wanting to get her running and looking great. The car is a California car, no rust. I would like do a thorough tune-up and replace the carborator.Considering re-paint and weatherstrips, chrome window trims and possibly the bumpers (even thought the bumpers are really decent). Where is the best source for parts? Any good manuals available? Any info would be appreciated.... Mike
