My first Datsun and it's a 1974 260Z. I'm already in love. Lookin' forward to seeing everyone's Datsuns. I'm in the Central Orange County area (Santa Ana). Hit me up if there are any Datsun events. -Joseph

Just joined CZCC yesterday. I'm located in southwest Michigan, where very few remember what an early Z looks like because they have turned to rust, have long ago been crushed, and sent to China for scape. But I have a surviver found in an old factory.Bought it for a C-note and dragged her home. She's complete right down to the book in the glove box, but with plenty of rust. My Z is a72, HLS30 8765 totally stock" cept" for the 5speed. I'm thinking of getting a body shell and start building. any thoughts? Thanks

I just realized I hadn't been on here since 2007!! Wow is that a mindblowing realization of how time flies. I still have four of these beloved babies in the herd. Somehow, 22 motorcycles and 6 snowmobiles made it into the stable as well so we're bouncing around a bit. Just wanted to say hello to everyone and make it a point to get back to posting on the forums. I'm located in the northwestern nj region if there's some local folks that want to get together

Hey guys - Figured I'd join up, even though I am one of those strange Z31 guys! My name is Zack, and I'm located in southern Louisiana. I'll be 28 in a week or so, and although the only pre-84 Datsun Z cars I've owned were junkers, I've got friends with S30s and S130s, and enjoy them! I'm pretty active in the Z31 community, and my project is a 1986 Z31 Turbo (my perpetual project more like!). Thanks! Zack

I have been in love with the Z car ever since i first laid eyes upon one. The closest i came to owning one was a 300zx. I am about to buy my first 240z. It is a 1971 that has been repainted and the transmission replaced with a 280 trans. Rust is not an issue. I am not looking for a show car, just a driver that i can work on. Anybody have any tips or sources? I will use any help i can get.

hey folks, just joined as member and wanted to introduce myself. my brother in law, owned this z since73, finally sold it to me a couple years ago. currently, gathering parts for proper refurbishing. never seen winter, and kept indoors since new, off road since 84. have a look at a vintage 70's era Z. the boys in the TA's must have loved this one. let me know your thoughts, but take it easy on the comments. I really love this car since childhood, and cant wait to revive. paints gotta go however.

hey everybody, joined for a few reasons. I bought a 280zx this year and love the car. Have always been a fan of classic american muscle but started researching the z series and love them even more. I have plans for a long and enjoyable future with the datsun z, wonderful cars. So my reasons for joining are technical support, parts and car finding, z car event participation and making a few new friends.

Hey guys I have been lurking around the forums ever since my own ownership of a 240Z and I decided to start getting active. First off, my name is Jason Capistrano I am a full-time worker and part-time college student in San Diego. I have been into Z's for roughly 4 years now and recently got my 2nd shell. My biggest regret was not being active during the building of my first Z, so I did not want to make the same mistake twice. So I am in the process of finishing my L28ET 240Z and should be done by the end of December. For more details and the progress on my cars feel free to stop by my blog! http://jasoncapistrano.blogspot.com/ Thanks to you all!

Greetings, I'm feeling the urge to buy a 280Z. First I need to get familiar with their history and nuances so I'll be lurking, reading and asking questions such as "Were all 280z models fuel injected?" . About 25 years ago I did own a very nice 260Z (explains my desire for F.I.). Then I got married and practical. It's time to trade in the Sentra for some fun. Thanks in advance for your help and patience. CarZ

I've been gone a while and didn't converse with many of you while I was here before. Sorry to those I did talk to for dropping off the planet. So this is more of a "hi again" re-introduction. I have a 73 240Z and two 78 280Z 2+2's. Plan A is to turn the 73 into a "rest-moded" daily driver. Well, in the summer time at least. There's enough good parts between the three to do that (I think) and still part out the rest of the 78's. Plus I've been cruising every Z-car parts sight I can find, but I'm only sure of myself with the body and lighting. Of course, R&R of the mechanicals won't be so hard unless I find some goofy mod parts. For the engine/drivetrain, I'm eithe…
