Hi Everyone, Long time Z lover.....just getting back into them again, after about 6 or so years. Got tired of seeing them sit in the corner of the garage and no longer having to have a back seat for baby. Anyway, getting ready to start on the 72 240Z after it has been pushed to the side for many years. Hopefully getting it done by next spring and start on the 73. Looks like there are a lot more beautiful Z's that have been completed or just found and brought out to see the light of day. Cheers, Brian

Hello, My name is Bud DeWolff. I am sure I have to be the oldest at 80 years old but I am still working as an Architect. I have an international practice and I am currentl designer a research center on top of a mountain in Amman Jordan As a designer I have always admired the classic lines of the 280ZX 1982. I bought it in 1982 in celebration black My two sons urged me to buy a corvette at that time. They each bought one. I did not buy one but stuck to my 280ZX. It is still mint with only 26,000 miles on it and saw no snow up here in Fairport New York. Of course their vettes are worth lots more than my 280ZX. but I still cherish the beauty of this great car. It is all ori…

Dash in the Box 1 2

*Sigh* Seventeen years ago, the guy at the Nissan parts counter told me that a new dash was still available for only $825 or so. Of course, back then, that was like $5,000 to me. Today I was picking up my car from Eddie Radatz's shop in Kennesaw. He's cleaning up his shop some and getting parts ready to sell. Well, he showed me a new dash, 68100-E8800, in the box. He said that a customer got it for a restoration many years ago, but the dash was slightly discolored. The customer arranged to return it to the Nissan dealer for another dash. The dealer couldn't return the dash to the regional warehouse, so it sat around for a while. Finally, the dealership was clearing out so…

On a 240Z, I have removed all 14 head bolts, the 2 timing cover bolts, and the intake and exhaust manifolds, the fuel pump and the air conditioning bracket. Everything I can see bolted on to the head has been removed. The problem is the head won't come off of the block. I have tried to pry it off, but it still seems like it is bolted on. Can anyone help? Thanks!

Hi everyone, Just wanted to introduce myself. I don't own a Classic Z....yet I currently drive an 07' 350z HR and an 02' Honda CRV (winter). Just here to learn more about the classics as I'm keeping my eye out for one. Right now, the pipe dream is to find a long term 240z project and build a single turbo RB26 for it :stupid: Look forward to learning from the forum! -Vic

I have owned a 240z since 1999 it was my first car and it needs a lot of work now... However I have regained the focus to fix the old z I was a member of this form a long time ago, and was one of those newbes who posted all of those stupid questions that newbes often do.... So if anyone has questions about the early z cars I am glad to try to help.

Just bought a Z car from Southern Cal! It was the one that was displayed at the Datsun Heritage Museum for the last year. I picked it up last week and have it at its new home. I have some minor (is there such a thing?) issues to take care before I can drive it around town. Also the car is way too low, too harsh. The springs have been cut to 6 or 7 turns and the tires are 195/50/15's. That is 22 inches of tire height and 3 inches of ground clearance. I'll be researching on a new setup. Right now I am leaning towards Eibach springs and 205/60/15's. Anyway this is my intro! Oh this might be important....this is my first Z car. I have driven my friends 73 Z back in …

I was given a free 1976 280Z. I was told that it was a S. Cal car w/5sp. Someone was messing with the electricial system, they did more damage than good. I was wondering about any possible help or advise as I would like to drive it not just look at it. Thanks 2 all.
