hi, my name is seungjin or sinjin for short. i recently purchased myself a 1973 240z to restore. sorry this isn't a purist project, i have a toyota 2jz engine/tranny and a skyline r32 differential in mind. i'll be around looking for information such as welding in a s13 subframe and looking at suspension upgrades...it's a lofty goal but i have a set of 16x12 CCWs that i intend to install, i've already ordered a set of flares. so i guess that's about it...anyone in the area feel free to say hello. anyone here from 240atlanta.com, you probably already know me. kthxbai.

I just bought what i think was a deal, a 1980 10th anniversary car for $3000 and a 79 280zx for $900-both are running. I don't know very much about these cars. they are both in good condition, neither one of them have any rust. the AE car is running okay, i think its just out of time really bad. the AE is manual 5 speed and the 79 is automatic. I was wondering do they make turbos for these models? would i want to do that? Also i was wondering why the zx is looked at so differently than the z. I will post pictures soon. thankyou. Jared

Here's a very late post to introduce the guy who walked in to the conversation and just started talking... I signed up for this forum over a year ago, just to look at the pictures. I didn't really expect to get involved beyond that but then I found a problem that seemed unique to my model year so thought I would share. Since then, I think that I've become hooked. This is great entertainment. I picked up a stock 1976 280Z in September 09, that did not run but apparently had at least idled about a year before I got it. Now, with information from this site and a few others, it runs and handles fine, doesn't leak (it's not a greenhouse inside), and I drive it almost every…

I have a 1972 240z and I have restored the body and interior. The car has 58,000 original miles on it and I want to find someone in the Atlanta, Georgia area that really knows these cars. I want the engine rebuilt, new brake system and suspension. Does anyone know of anyone in my area that could do a really great job and knows these engines?

Hi everyone! i recently decided to repaint my 240z. I first got the car when i was 17 and now i'm 18. I though it would be cool to restore one of the all time classic. I've spent lots of hours on the car since i just started with it. -The first thing i have to do on the car was to make the engine run, first i remove the engine head and put it to a machine shop and resurface the whole engine head, then they told me that i have to buy new exhaust and intake vales, it cost me a furtune to get it running. -second i respray the whole car with flat black, at first it looks so cool but when i go crusing with my friends and look at their car all shinny, with nice body kit, so …

Hi guys! Been lurking around for a while, but thought it was about time I registered on the forums. I have a 72 S30 #112 yellow (actually made 9/71 - HLS30-46315) which has been imported to Norway from PA. It has got the original engine and is 100% stock atm, although it has seen some extensive welding since being imported. It still need LOTS of work, but I hope to have it back on the road in a few years. I'll try to do as much as I can on the car myself, learning as I go. This winter's project will be rebuilding the engine, and hopefully gain some hp's, too.. Here are a few pics from when I picked it up earlier this year: The guy who imported the car had b…

Hey all, Just signed up when I stumbled onto this site from zcar.com. My name is Mike, I'm coming up on 23... in my last year of Architecture school at the University of Oregon up in Portland. Anyway.... on the the car. So my room mate and I just picked up a 77' 280Z 5 speed coupe a couple of weeks ago for $650 not running. All the lights work and it turns over and will even fire up if you throw a shot of fuel into the head. So we're thinking it's either a fuel pump, filter, or relay. The previous owner took his battery after we made the sale (like a douche) so we're going to grab a new one tomorrow and will begin diagnosing. We've ripped apart the inside and have begun…
