Several months ago I purchase a 73 Z in eastern Phoenix and need it towed to my buddy's in Glendale where I will store the car for a few months. Can anyone help or recommend an inexpensive towing service in the Phoenix area. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi all! Just thought I would let you know that even down in "darkest Africa" the Z is alive and well. Although not many are seen on the roads anymore, there are a handful of decent ones left. I'd like to think that mine is one of those. I've posted a couple of pix, but hopefully I'll get some decent ones done soon. If there are any other members from my neck of the woods (South Africa) please drop me a line.

Hi, I'm a regular guy from Quebec, Canada. College student, parttime worker and all time Z lover. I loved the first generation S30Z longer than I can remember and never thought I could own one since I'm just a poor college student but things happenned so I bought an old beat up Z. It's a 1976 280Z (two seater). It's in pretty bad shape (like most Z's up north...) and I have little to no experience about rebuilding cars but I have all the time in the world and I love this car so much I'm willing to learn all about it! I've already gathered a lot of info from the web aswell as a factory service manual and the book ''how to restore your datsun Z-car'' by Wick Humble and i…

Hey all, I hope this evening finds you all well. I recently came into ownership of a 1970 240Z, I know absolutely nothing about these cars so I figured I'd join and learn something. I'm used to messing around with Chevy V-8's and so on, so this is entirely new territory for me. I plan on using the search function so I don't annoy you guys with questions you've all heard a thousand times before. At the end of the day though, there will be questions... several, I'm sure:) Here are some pics, she needs a lot of work, but I plan on taking my time so no worries there. Time is certainly not of the essence. Yep, ton of work to be done.

Hey everybody what's up? I'm Danny. I'm from Miami, FL but I live in Oceanside, CA right now due to my job. I've recently purchased a '71 Z. I moved out here once I left Japan after a few years; which is where I was introduced to the car. I've always thought it'd be cool to own one some day and get some hands on work in a garage. My younger brother and I have started to strip it down and chemically remove/ sand the car down to the metal surface. I want to prevent any problems if there are any. If anyone has any tips feel free to pass 'em on! And some pics of the car http://img815.imageshack.us/g/002mz.jpg/

I'm about to buy (tomorrow) a 77 280Z from a small local dealership. My question: is this a good idea to buy this car on a low budget? In other words will I always be fixing something on the car? I love these cars and have always wanted one, but money is a little tight right now. The car has 77,000 original miles on it and supposedly the motor has been rebuilt. Any help is appreciated!

Hi All, Recently purchased a ’78 280z with 111k miles, that passes CA smog. My two year old daughter has already named it “Wing Nutâ€ so the Z is officially here to stay. Good and through hunting paid off with a running and very driveable Z. The Z is intended to serve as fun/sporty third vehicle and support my annual pilgrimage to the Lone Pine Time Trials for a weekend of racing and hanging with friends. Just two weeks in I am already knee deep in the overhaul and restoration process. The registration tags weren’t kept up for several years so the car in need of some good fluid change TLC, new hoses, belts, AC compressor recharge and new carpet (70’s era ca…

Hi, My wife and I've recently acquired a 78 280z. I've already got it home in the garage and have started to go through it to get it road worthy. We will restore it as original as we can get it I reckon. Haven't made up my mind yet weather to go all out frame up, or just clean it up as best we can with new paint and interior. It's got 109k miles on it, factory air that still works, perfect dash, very little rust, and the clock even works! It was missing pretty bad when I picked it up, but I've got it running a bit smoother now. I'm fixing an exhaust manifold leak on it now, clutch slips, and needs brakes. I've been lurking a bit for the last week or so but figured I'd …

Hello, I just bought my datsun 240z a week ago, It came with a carbon fiber bonnet, and a carbon fiber bre wing, triple weber carbs, runs with an l24 engine automatic (going to try to swap it for an l28 drive train) and luckily the interior of the car is immaculate (:<, and i'de appreciate if any one of you would give me advice on how to tune my car (: thank you! http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j208/ewitzgeoff/mydatsun2.jpg http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j208/ewitzgeoff/mydatsun.jpg
