Hi everyone On the beginning apologies for my English, I'm not a native speaker. Little bit about me: My name is Andrzej (you can call me Andy as well) and I'm from Poland (for those who don't know it's on the middle east of Europe, next to Germany). I'm dealing with vintage cars since few years, but rather in Mercedes. Why here: As I wrote before I have a little bit experience in classics though since 7 years I'm dealing with my project car Mercedes Benz W107 450 SLC from 1976 (also had Porsche 924). (http://sites.google.com/site/mercedesw107450slc/galeria-1) I thereat it purely as a hobby and honesty speaking I prefer to fix those cars than drive it :stupid: Well S…

Hi, I'm Ben from Sydney. I own a performance parts shop and have owned 240Zs for the last 18 years or so. Currently I have a 1973 240Z that is mostly carbon fibre and fibreglass but still road registered. It has a 3.2-litre L-series with 6-throttle injection and around 270hp at the flywheel (fun). I also distribute OS Giken in Australia along with supplying various other Zed bits from time to time. Currently I'm building a KHGC110 Skyline 2-door into a 'Ken Mary' GT-R replica. Cheers

Just wanted to thank you all for the site. I've been reading LOTS of threads the past several months and really appreciate all the information. I'm in the process of restoring (not to stock) a 72 240z that had been sitting in the rain for the last three years. All parts that can be removed have been removed and now I'm removing the inside rubber coating (lots and lots of fun!). Again, thanks for all the insight. HapG

I recently purchased a 76 280z. The electrical system works great but i cannot get the car to turn over to start. The car will crank but it will not fire. The car did sit with the previous owner for a considerab;e amount of time. So...i drained the gas and replaced it with higher octane gas. I want to exhange the fuel filter but having trouble finding where it is located. If anybody could help me out on this issue or has any other advice for me that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.-Shawn

finally cooled down enough to take it out today. Of course ended up driving past construction where they were sweeping up concrete dust so it needed a bath. -Trevor http://240z.me

Hello all, This is a terrific site!! Back in the Z work after a near 2 decade absence. My first Z was an early 260 that I bought back in '91. From there I owned several 240's and then move on to the land of air-cooled "P" cars. The current stable includes a '92 NSX and an early '74 Leaf Green 260 with a 3.1 stroker I bought about a year ago. Best Z I have ever owned other than continuously battling the tin worm in all the usuall places. Big welding project but really enjoying it. If anyone knows of a relatively rust free 240 or 260 project out there for sale, please let me know.

My stock 1971 240Z and my not so stock 1973 240Z back on line after an exhausting move from CA to TX. Great to have them on the road. Drove each of them at different times from the west coast to Texas and it was great fun driving the high and low roads. Looking forward to lots of Z stories and tips.

Hey, everybody. I'm new to the club but not to Z cars. Bought my 77 in 86, rebuilt the motor and drove it until it left me and the very pregnant wife on the side of the road in 92. Two kids and life distracted me, so it sat until 2004, when I started trying to get it running again, right before a move and remodel. Well, I am finally trying to resurrect her, and have been working on it for a couple of months, replacing all of the 20 year old hoses, cleaning out the cobwebs, and treating rust. I lucked into another 77 for parts and will have extra parts when I get things sorted out (who needs 4 engines?) I want to get it running, then I will work on rust repair and cosmetic…

Hello. I recently have added a 1975 280Z ITS car to my garage to keep my 71 510 company. Both are prepared race cars. I've done club racing, SCCA racing Rallies, Solos and hill climbs in everything from Formula Vee to Formula Atlantic. I ran a B Sedan in the 70s and the story on my 510 is a strange one that I'll post at a later time. I'm not allowed to race my 510 with the local Texas Vintage group, a group that I helped found because my motor is a 73 and they cut off at 72 so I'm running in track days and solo events. The Z car will be my step back into SCCA racing Brian

Hey guys, just taking the initial PM's advice and making my first post. I'm a soldier currently deployed to Afghanistan and just purchased a 1976 280Z that has the 5-speed swapped into it, small bumpers like a 240Z, and Lexus metallic green paint. The car has been completely stripped and rebuilt and currently stands at just over 12K on it, with original mileage currently unknown. I am still trying to figure out which bumpers they are since I've yet to see a 280Z with the thin bumpers like mine. Anyway, just saying hi and welcome any and all advice/help. I want to take care to do everything right the first time with this car.
