Hello fellow Z-addicts. I found this site from another Z-car site(Hybrid-Z). Figured I'd stop in and say hi. I'm currently driving a 1976 280Z junkyard rescue. Always am a sucker for them beautiful body lines!! I have been working on this project for 5 years now and probibly have another 5 befforee I start working on another Z.. Enjoy the pix.

Hello my name is Dave I am from Indiana. I'm a z nut, my first z was a 83' 280zx turbo i bought for $300 ran great. Then I bought a early 74' 260 almost clean car but no floorpans. I striped both cars plans where to drop the L28et, a Lsd rear end and much much more had everything to build the 260z when everything got stolen from the shop I was storing it in. Its been six year but I finally found a 73' 240z that was in good shape for a project. And it all starting again planing striping and building a z. This time its an Rb26dett.

I am new to Z cars. my father in-law is rebuilding his original 74 260z and since i am the family mechanic I have been nominated to assist in the transformation. I will be on here quite frequently trying to gather info on making the car right again. The car has sat for far to long and needs a good amount of work starting with rotten floor boards, brakes, carbs, shocks, bushings. everything is original, I mean 35 years old original so it will need some work. I do not have any pictures as of yet but as we do the work i will post them. The intention is to have a solid daily driver not a show queen so most of my questions will be surrounding driveability.

as the proud owner of a '72 240z and a previous owner of a '79 280zx, I'd like to take the opportunity to introduce myself. Datsun Z's have run in my family for generations. My grandpa owned one, my dad owned one and now me. My 240 is my daily driver and my hobby. In my spare time from school I have been restoring my completely stock, numbers matching 240 back to her former glory and despite a few minor set backs I am close to completion. In addition to that I am always looking for a 1972 or earlier Z in ANY condition to build into a full-race beast. Hello there, I'm going to have to start combing through threads for a while looking for tips, hints, and absorb the collective knowledge of the boads because I just bought myself an ORANGE 1970 DATSUN 240Z! for better or for worse and for more money than is responsible for a 40 year old car! Its exciting and scary at the same time considering the investment required. Needs carbs rebuildt, some body work, new shocks and the shiftings quite sloppy but hey - its an old car, and its not going to get much better than this and it does drive reasonably well. My name is Carl Carter and im fairly new to the z world. I picked up a 77 280z and rebuilt the engine but i found out its a l24 block with a 280z head and i have no idea why somebody would do this but the person who built this engine knew what they were doing

I was at a local junk yard here in St. Louis and came across TWO '73 240s, one a green RUST FREE (OK not rust free but perfect doglegs none the less!) crushed at the top of a pile of cars... Longtime lurker but I rarely post. Here is a pic of my 81 280ZXT. Original except for the repaint and front air dam. Currently has around 72K miles on it. I also have a 04 350Z roadster as a DD and I'm just starting on a 77 280Z project.

My Z is an early '72 I found in a garage.After some reconstructive surgery and a coat of paint I'm finally working the last of the electrical 'bugs' out and starting to drive it. Have to admit it is fun to drive but not my cup of tea.I prefer my '31 ford hotrod so the Z has to go-any takers?
