Hi one and all. I am O/O of Green County Speed Shop located in central Kentucky. I just purchased a 1972 240Z with 63,000 original miles. I have a few questions.... how do I tell what serial number this car is ....(Low or high) I have the VIN,but I read about low number cars and wonder about mine. I am going to start with the restoration and need directions as to where to go with it. It is a white with red interior 4 speed car. Should it be put back to 100% original? or would it not matter much value-wise? It spent it's life in NewMexico since 1974 and is a nice clean 98% rust free car. Only needing small patches in the front bottoms of the 1/4s. Pans battery box etc etc …

hey guys, im new to the Z car club i dont own a Z car exactly, but i have a 1978 datsun skyline, very similar to the Z cars around the same era. Its running a fully recond L28 through a 5 speed manual, with the best dam independent suspension ever built!!! I love my zcars or any datsun, in my opinion anything with a L series in it gets my recognision. Im in the process trying to find a set of triple webers (45mm) a intake manifold to suit, and a good set of extractors. Also im trying to find a set of 15 or 16 inch watanabe rims, can anyone help me!!???

Hi Guys Well a new ZZZZZ owner from down under. I have been into old school classic cars for some time, owning two DR30 skylines and some late 80's ZX series zed's. Now after some 10 years, i purchased myself a 260Z 2+2. Why? it was $1300 with only 56000km on the clock, second owner. Whist i know many issues the car has, the rust is pretty well contained, as we do not salt our roads here in winter so not to bad. Body is straight and has sighs of repair and previous rust removal. Main damage to rear quarter panel need a lot of attention as it appear the car had a small dent which was simply bogged up. The car was purchased sight unseen and had been sitting around for ab…

Hello everyone. Every time I get another car I seem to join another forum. I've already been lurking here for a few weeks learning what I can. Here's my story. After sitting in my mother in laws garage for the last 20 years I decided it was time to get the old girl on the street . It's a 73 Z vin# hls30 167511. The car was left there by my brother in law who moved to Japan in '86 and has since passed away. He had a bad habit of drinking then driving so the car was hit more than once and now has a primered right front fender, the hood is seriously dented in the front and both bumpers had been removed and lost. The motor turned free so I put in a battery, checked the oi…

Hi guys, I'm new to this forum, and the information I've read through so far has been very insightful. I'm currently working on two cars - 72 240z 2.8l Stroker, and RHD 70 Nissan Fairlady Z - just picked up from Roger Allen in TX. I'm diverting most of my time and efforts now to the Fairlady Z, since I'm planning to give my father the 72 stroker project. I'm now looking for Fairlady parts to help complete my project. That said, have any of you seen these parts floating around recently for sale/trade: - Fairlady mesh front grill - Triple Mikuni's with intake - Watanabe Wheels 15's-16's preferably The Z didn't come with a motor unfortunately, but I lucked out and …

If Anyone else can beat this find let me know,Roger.....and no I can't post the picture its x rated!

I guess I missed it when i joined months ago. I actually was only using this site to get rid of my extra engines, but I am interested in how other people are restoring their Z's so I'm looking around here. Here's my z I just got it in april '09, but I just got it running like 3 weeks ago, it set me back like 3.5k, and on my part time minimum wage salary, it'll be a few more weeks before I can do anything else with it. …

Back in 1981 in Minneapolis, I was at a friend's house when a truly fetching young woman entered the house, wearing a halter top and shorts. She asked if that was my black sports car out front, and when I said Yes, she said "Well, you should move it because it's in a bad place and might get hit." Being the sterling personality I am, I held up the keys and said "Here -- move it yourself if you think it's a problem." She recalls vividly thinking, at the time, that I was a bit of an A-H. But she figured it was a nice car and she might give me a second chance. We celebrated our 20th anniversary day before yesterday. But better yet... Several years back, I suggested tha…
