Well I sold my '72 last October and it nearly killed me since I had waited Soooo long to get one in the first place. Almost a year later and a move across the country from Vancouver to Toronto and I have found another car that will help ease the withdrawls. This car is decent but has issues that I need to address sooner or later. In it's lifetime one of the previous owners did some extensive body work and the car now sports fiberglass fenders and both quarters are FG as well. The quarters look pretty good but those old FG fenders really need to go. It has an L28 (N42) installed with the E88 intake and SU's and stock 4 spd. The interior is in really decent shape with…

I am new on here and I have owned a 1983 280ZX that talked and it was pretty cool. I want a 240Z now and have a Jeep to trade that I have advertised on here: http://www.classiczcars.com/classifieds/showproduct.php?product=4175&cat=9 Well, I prefer a 240Z, but I am open to other offers since I have posted ads elsewhere. A really nice Japanese car would be a step in the right direction.

Hello All- I've been lurking through here for the last year or so while I searched for my Z; and last week finally picked up my 1970 240 (#6276 A.I.R.). I've wanted a 240 since I was ten, when my friend's mother let me drive hers through the cemetery in my hometown. Only now do I have a bit of time, a bit of garage and a bit of money- I am acutely aware that any 240 project will benefit by increasing the value of all three of those categories. Some of you may have viewed this car- i first saw it in the classifieds here: http://www.classiczcars.com/classifieds/showproduct.php?product=3724&cat=1 It sports typical rust that looks to be into the rockers, and a bizarre …

H Hello My name is David Mullis I just joined the Z club. I gave my Grandson my77Z and we have restored the car mechanically over $7300.00 and the interior is decent. The body is pretty sad but nothing alittle metal work and paint will not fix. It is a 2 seater 4 speed with factory A/C. As time goes on I will be asking a lot of questions. David:beer:

Hi everyone! I'm the proud owner of a 1972 Datsun 240Z project that I found about 45 miles south of my home, Green Bay, WI. The car has barely any rust on it because of undercoating and mostly indoor storage, and it came with two extra motors, one in pieces and a 260Z motor that was supposedly from a running car. We plan to do a modest restoration with some mods, including a custom paint job and a switch to a post-1981 280ZX 5-speed trans. I've taken out most of the interior, and most of the stuff connected to the motor has been disonnected. We hope to have it out soon so we can do body and motor work. We hope to give it a slow resto over three years, and you can keep tra…

Hi everyone! My name is nolan and I am the recent owner of a 1981 280ZX Turbo. I just bought this car the day before I left for college which is where I am now. I love this car! It is great on gas and very reliable. This car is the Grand Luxury model with T tops and all the factory options. The car used to be black with gold trim, however the previous owner began to make it into a racecar so all the logos and trim was removed. I look to have some fun times in college with my car. Will see you all around here!

Ok so as long as I can remember I loved the style of Z cars in general of almost any year up to about 80 I guess. Im currently shopping around for one and decided to join the forum for some info. Questions: What should I look for when purchasing? What model Z and year are the best? I really like the earlier years solid looks best myself. What are the differences in the 240's and 260's? ________________________ Currently I have a 2000 Lincoln LS modded with what little we have readily available like 19x8.5 ADR M-Sports in hyper silver. Custom made Intake kit and Magnaflow exhaust. I also have a custom made up adjustable coil-over kit coming to try to drop it lower th…

found was I was looking for - 1972z almost done - 59000 mi - needs some interior work, but otherwise in very good shape rust and structural wise, nice paint job - will have to address some exhaust fume issues but I have a plan thanks to all the posts on this site about those problems - Great reference material!! - has L28, perfomormance cam, triple mikuni carbs, msa ignition - would give my M3 a good run for the money! so this winter, strip out interior, new gaskets, plug any hole etc to get ready for new interior in the spring. regards Davis

Hello all. I currently found a project sitting in my friend's driveway. It's a 240z I believe? I'm not up to par on what all the models are. Anyway, it's some kind of "gold edition" or something like that where it was painted gold, with a dark gold/brown top half, and has an in-line 6 (I think). Either way, my friend wants it out of his driveway, and I want it. But, it needs to run first. Apparently up until a couple months ago, it did run, and had a new swapped motor implanted. Unfortunately someone who was a "briliant mechanic" found a way to break it. My friend states that the genius was driving down the freeway at about 90, and redlined it or something and then the w…

Hi, my name is Richard and I have Z problem. 9070 is my 4th Z and by far the cleanest. I am a car guy and make my living on/with them. We have been involved with the kit car industry and the Mustang 5.0 crowd for about the last 10 years. Before all of that I did the Rustang thing for years and then went to Z cars, bought my first in 84 and had 2 others in between that one and this one. Well life got in the way and the 9070 went into storage for about 15 years. I dug it out two years ago and as time and money have permitted got some stuff done. Pulled the numbers matching motor and trans and have the trans done already motor should be done in a week or so. All the …

Hey everybody, I'm pretty new to S30's but not new to Z's. I previously had a pretty modified 2003 350z which I autocrossed quite a bit. I picked this car up in NJ but it was built in NC as I understand it. I will probably be selling the motor and trans out of the car at some point soon if anyone is interested because I'm wanting to potentially do another Nissan motor or a bigger power V8. Ok, so here are just a couple of pics of the car. Can't wait to learn as much as possible here and hopefully be able to contribute soon!
