Just wanted to show off my new head light covers. I have been working (cleaning up inside and out) on my Z over the last couple of weekends and this weekend I put on me new head light covers. I used the tape and did not drill them. I hope they stick and stay in place.

i have always liked the looks of the 240z, but never knew much about them. i recently had a friend by the car then 2 weeks later accepted a job offer in texas. so he offered my a great deal. i gave him my bluepoint rollaway toolbox and 400.00 cash and i got a 1973 240z. it has rust under the battery, 5 inch rust hole under passenger seat, more rust behind the passengerwheel on the cornerpanel, and some surface rust around windows and doors. no rust in gas cap area or under spare tire. i can't wait to start restoring it. any advice is gladly taken

Hello everyone: I've been on this board for about a year. I figured it was time to say Hi and finally post some pics of my Z. I purchased her last year from the daughter of the original owner. I took a chance and bought a 1-way ticket to Chicago to look at it. Bought it and drove it back to Penfield, NY (just outside of Rochester). The PO did not really replace all that much on the car. I found that out when I got to about Indiana and one of the 20+ year old tires decided to disintegrate. Luckily, I was within towing distance of a BJs (hence the cheapo tires you see in the pictures). Also, luckily I was only going about 50MPH! I have not done much to it since I p…

Hey everyone, been lurking for a bit now but finally got my '73 so I thought I'd post an introduction. This forum has already been an extraordinary help I picked it up Sunday and I am really excited. It's been sitting for more than 10 years in the guy's garage so I had to tow it. I almost got it started today but I think I just need to pull the carbs and give them a good cleaning. It fires with the carb clean but I think the gas is gummed up in the fuel bowls. When I first looked at it I thought it had the original dash but it does have a cap and the rest of the interior is in fantastic condition. It is bone stock and I do have mild plans. I have a 6-2-1 header and a C…

I've had my 1978 280z since 1996. It has no functional AC and even though I am in the middle of the desert, a Phoenix suburb, I still love that damn car!! But a few years ago I purchased another car and it is now my primary vehicle. My poor z has been sitting a while, about a year. I know, I know, very BAD. I was mentally ready to sell it, then I heard the motor roar again and can't imagine letting it go.... Naturally it's having some problems, so my dad and I jumped in and got to work. It's coming along. So here I am and looking for vacuume hose diagrams, and various other stuff...one thing at a time. For now the vaccume hose diagram. I may be a chick and I don't…

Hello everyone my name is Nathanael or Nate for short, I'm from the Los Angeles area of California USA and I finally regestered here at CZCC after about a year looking at some of the restoration projects here. I semi-recently decided to try and do something with the 240Z that was given to my dad about 5 years ago. Back then I thought that the car was a useless piece of junk but after some growing up I changed my mind. And now to make things even better, I find that the car that I have is HLS30-00252 with a date of manufacture of 12/69!!! At first I felt pretty good about the whole situation but now that I look at it I feel as though the Body may be lost due to rust. :…

Thanks for letting me in. Just doing some surfing and stumbled on the sight. Looks like it should be very interesting. I have a "72" 240Z project car since 1981 maybe one of these days I will find the time to finish.

Hi, Just registered. I'm Sharm from sunny Malaysia No, I haven't got a Z but fitting a pair of 240Z bullet fender mirrors to my Sunny B210... so there's the connection .. the other Datsun I have is a round lamp B310 (US B210) I had friends asking me to look for S30s.. these are quite rare in this side of the world so even a wreck worth a small fortune.. That got me interested in this model hence my existence here Looking forward to learn more about the Z! I may not be posting much by I will surely read a lot here. By the way, if you are searching for retro Datsun parts, other than Z's of course which are quite rare here, like the B210, B310 Sunnies give me a shou…
