Greetings fellow Z enthusiasts, I imagine my story is familiar to many of you. I had the pleasure of owning a '73 Z in my youth. As great as it was, I eventually found myself at university without the means to properly store and maintain it. I sold it, with the promise that one day I would own another. I finally purchased a '72 and look forward to some summer driving. The new summer toy is stored with family on BC's Sunshine Coast. Come spring it will be taken on a nice road trip home to Yellowknife. My gratitude to those on this site sharing their advice and expertise on this site. I know the '72 will need some attention, but that was expected with a car only…

Name is Adam. I'm 24 and own a 74 260Z with Triple Weber Sidedrafts, cam/header/full exhaust, a ZX 5spd, R200 diff, and a G-Nose front end. It's lowered on a Suspension Techniques kit. I'll post some pics of it later on, just thought i'd drop a line to introduce myself.

I have this 76 280z that im not sure what to do with. I work a lot out of my home state of Virginia. My initial thought was to sell the running motor w/5 speed and drop a 350 w/5 speed in it. I sat in the car this weekend and wondered what to do with it? I have had offers to buy but have turned them down. I am thinking that the parts would be worth more than the whole but hate to take a car that has maybe three hours on the body and of course some interior work. It also is short front and rear fenders as well. My thinking is that I have Vehicles that I get more pleasure out of than I would the Z, the 2 KZ inlines are my true passion. Does anyone have any thoughts or sugge…

Well, it's been about 2 years since I bought it and got it to the condition it's in now... It now has an L28 N42 head with a 5 speed from a '77, SU carbs to be installed soon (from ZTherapy), and MSA Twice Pipes. EGR and air pump have been removed. I didn't have the rubber fillers for the bumpers, so I collapsed the shocks to make them fit closer to the body like the early 240Zs.

Hey all, I've been on the forum's here for a little bit of time compared to some. Figured i would actually introduce myself finally. ''Supraman" my handle is going to have to change, I have a Supra that pushes about 400hp to the wheel's, but my love for Z car's has run deep for along time. It started with hotwheel's and matchbox at first, i had a ton of Z's to jam when i was a kid. Then when i grew up a little i bought my first Z. A jet black 86' 300zx n/a, it was bad arse for lack of term's hahaa. I still have it, but blew the trans, looking to do a 5 speed swap from the crappy automatic. Then a good friend left a supra turbo for me, rip owen. So it was all nast…

Hey what's up! I'm new to this forum and new to Zcars. I just bought my first Z on Tuesday. I've been in love with the body style for the longest time but just never had the money to start a project. I love the car so far but haven't really gotten to mess around with it yet. Can't wait until this weekend! I'll post pics sometime tomorrow when I can get away from work. almost forgot....its a 1978 280z

Hello everyone, I am very excited to be here. I am in Pomona, California, and proud second owner of a 1974 260Z, that a good friend and sons got for my b-day a couple of years ago. My car need less to say is 100% original, and aside from a few nicks and dings the paint seems to be in good condition. So far I have focused on the mechanics of it, but I hope to soon be able to attend and participate in local Datsun/Nissan car shows, and hopefully I can show my car as an unrestored original. Hope to hear from some of you soon. Z-ya

I'm Ken, 48, and I'm an addict. Addicted to the Z cars that is. I've been in the Pittsburgh area for a year now originally from Phila area and have lived in Boston and KC as well. I've had a 77Z, an 83ZX, a 93 300ZX a 78Z (all come and gone over the last 27 years) and now just bought a 71 240 with a 78 L28 motor. Not a mechanic or body guy, just in love with these cars. When I don't own it feels like something is missing. This 240 will be THE ONE. Great board going here that has already offered me some terrific advice! thanks, Ken

Hey. I just inherited a beautifue 1972 240z. :) The only thing I want to change is the wheels and tires. What size wheel/rim and tire best fit this car? I want a good ride and also to fill the wheel well but not too much so. Any opinions are Welcom. Thanks, Jim

Hi all. I first want to thank you for allowing me to join your club and for maintaning such an informative site. During my registration for my membership I marked that i owned a 69 240 Z. Truth is I dont have one... YET. I have seen these cars here and there and done some research. I am in love! No better way to put it. Infatuation!!! I am looking to buy my first Z. It makes me feel like a school girl on prom night. I like the looks of the early ones but crave a bit of speed and power. I will be looking for a driver/fixer upper. I was wondering if yall had any words of advice or warning for me? I have "OEM Spec" restored a 1969 Mustang, a 1966 Mustang and a 1975 Ford tr…

In may 2007, I bought this 1973 Datsun 240z from a guy who had imported it from California. The floors, the rear hatch lid threshold plate and dog legs where rotten, the interior and paint where burned by the sun and all the rubber where old and hard. The dash was cracked (of course) and the AC did not work. Otherwise everything else seemed okay. Basically what had to be done was. 1. Remove and replace the rotten metal with new. 2. New (used) dash or dash cap. 3. New rubber and weatherstrip. 4. New suspension bushing. 5. New interior. 6. Repaint. 7. Engine service. 8. Change external lights to fit Danish law. The restoration is now almost complete and h…
