Hi guys, Due to the influx of bogus accounts created at our club, I will be looking at implementing a sign up fee to our 'Free Ride' subscription. The fee will only be applied when someone joins the club for the first time. The remainder of their lifetime membership will remain free. I'm doing this to help protect our members from fraud and spam. The idea is someone who has the intent to spam our site, or scam our users in the classifieds, won't want to pay this fee (or go through the process). If you see or hear of any issues, please don't hesitate to send me a PM so I can look into it. Thanks guys! Mike

Hi all, Quick update, in addition to using your account name, we are now allowing you to log in based on your email address. This will help some of our members who may have forgotten their user account name but still have their email address. Both options will still continue to work, but I figured this will help me reduce tech support requests. Thanks! Mike

Hi guys, Wanted to let you know that I'm thinking about going back to using Cloudflare server caching. If you remember, we had this enabled earlier this year but it added a small delay to the commands and clicks. It wasn't a bad delay but directly connecting the site was faster. Since we went back to the direct connect we've been seeing a lot more hits from hackers and fake accounts. I believe the reason is I can't easily block entire countries like China, Russia, India, and Nigeria (as an example). This post is being sent from a new member account I had to open (mayolives1). I'm locked out of my original member account (mayolives) . For some unknown reason my password doesn't work. When I request a password reset and go to the reset link provided, the message says I don't have a password reset request. When I message the webmaster@classiczcars.com it will not work. I receive a "mailer-daemon" notice from AOL. I have tried for the last week to no avail. So how do I contact "the powers that be" and have access to my original account? Please help!

Hi all, I was able to complete the update this evening/morning without much of a hiccup. There were some back-end processes I had to get through to make it work but it's all done. At this moment you may see some delay as the database is continuing to rebuild the indexes. You will see a few new features and gadgets but the most prominent is the 'ranking' system. As the system is still rebuilding, I'm working on how this ranking system should be built. For the moment, every user has a newbie rank. @Mike please look at that China airlines crap. I opened it to read what's up and on my phone it went to some pictures. I hit the back button but it kept going back to the same screen with the X to close the window but it doesn't close just more of the same. Thank you. I hope I'm overreacting but it's a new weird I've not had before.

Just thought this was funny. Earlier in this thread I quoted somebody's post and could not delete the ads so they ended up somehow as giant invisible spaces in the post. Just now I posted and every space has an ad inserted. Barely readable.

Hi all, I am considering the removal of a single-sign-on technology from the website. For instance, I know some of you are using your Facebook account to sign into the website. If we remove the connection, this would mean you need to manage your password directly on our site (instead of Facebook). There are several reasons for this, but, my main purpose of this exercise is to remove the complexity around managing the connection. I'm also a bit concerned about the security of passwords, bot access, and possible data-sharing issues. So, my easiest solution is to just remove the feature.
