Is it just me or is anybody else getting a pop-up from classiczcars.com on start up? When I first power on my laptop I get this box down in the right bottom corner. Annoying when I haven't even visited the forum. It's taken over my computer and I don't like it. Cliff

Hi all, I ran some updates this morning and ran into a bit of trouble. Site was down for approximately 3 hours as I went through my routine to get it fixed. Site is now back up again, but, I had to revert to an older color scheme and layout. I'll fix the appearance over the next day or so. Everything else should be back to normal. (so much for a 15-minute upgrade -- lol) Mike

Hi all, Yesterday I ran across some search issues on the site and decided to look into it further. From what I can tell, I moved the site over to a search engine (locally hosted) that uses a technology called Elasticsearch. Well apparently this wasn't such a good idea because there were many threads that just didn't seem to show up. I actually discovered this by looking for some of my very old posts from the late 90's. Anyway, I did some digging and found a better method. The legacy posts that I was previously not finding are now showing up just fine. Hi all, Today I launched a new classified ads system on the site. This new system integrates with your profile and gives everyone the capability to sell items on our site. It's a bit different than posting a regular forum message, so, I would appreciate your feedback. The best thing about the new classifieds is the capability to self-manage and set expiration dates. The entire system is database driven and gives our members extra features that were not available when we were using the forums. Used to be that when I closed a browser I would have to re-login when I opened it again. Recently I've seen that even after shutting down my computer completely, overnight, I am still logged in, or automatically re-logged in when I open the browser in the morning. There was no notification of this change on the CZCC site. And I never click the little banner at the bottom, acknowledging cookies. Edit - actually it could be the browser I use. Still, the same, it changed the default setting. I'll have to go check that out. I know that my browsing history is stored and reused whenever I open a browser. Hi guys, It looks like some of our trusty internet sources for microfiche are gone. Do any of you have a good microfiche collection (other than S30 series) that you can post to the files area? My screen doesn't have the member map link at the end of the menu. Can you give some direction on why. Grannyknot and i were exchanging screen shots to try figure this out in this thread

In the past you said that you would never allow autoplay ads on the site. The Wayfair ad does autoplay and, even worse, "expands" if you leave the cursor over it too long. I'm not a supporting member and see that you've removed the "Site Support" sub-forum, maybe replacing it with the Supporting Members sub-forum, but thought you might want to know, since you said that "autoplay" would never be allowed on the site. @Mike
