Just went to change my oil and found the filter canister somewhat dented in at the outboard edges. This was a WIX filter that the shop I had work on my carbs put on because it was dumping fuel into the crankcase. It is smaller than the factory filter but I am not sure that would cause it to collapse! Any ideas? I am putting a factory filter on with the oil change...

Hello Again at last after months of trying , 2 fuel pumps, and a lot of cuts on my hand, i got my beauty running. HOWEVER... the idle is really high(the little pron to adjust the idle is not responding at all), the gauges are not working, and the side marks and tail light are not working, what did i do to make this chain reaction of failing electrical issues? it really doesn't make any sense!! BTW, this is all i did to make the car run again clean fuel tank replace rubber fuel lines replace fuel filter put a filter between fuel tank and pump new fuel pump(255lph) new injector connectors replace the AMF replace the thermostat enclosure new thermotime new temp sender new…

Just installed a cannon intake for triple webers on the '71 240z last evening but the stock rod from the firewall to the cannon is too long. Is there a year that the 240z rod was shorter? Presently the rod is at the machine shop getting shortened.

I have a 76 280Z in excellent condition that needs a steady mechanic. Car runs great except I'm still having issues with high fuel consumption and high idle. Been to a couple of local shops but none that know these cars well enough to find the problem. It just failed smog test so I've got to find the right person to figure out the problem.

I am not actually the owner of a 280, I am the owner of two 1977 710 wagons. One is a parts car that was my first datsun, a rusty mechanic owned and duck taped beauty. It ran before I started using it for parts for a perfectly kept garaged wagon I found about a year later. If anyone knows of a forum better suited for 710's please let me know. When I search on line I keep getting directed to this forum, so I thought I would give it a shot, not sure if anyone here can help me. Me and my second wagon had a wonderful time for the first two years. Until gas was leaking profusely out of the base of the carburator. I decided to get the carb rebuilt rather than buy a new carburat…

My car is bocomong a money pit. The interior is about done & I'm looking for some nice wheels. I currently have a set of "centerline" 15" that look pretty good. The problem is that previously I had flares on the fenders & the wheels fit fine. I got rid if the flares and now the centerlines are a little too wide & will hit the fender on bumps. I looked in to some really nice Konig 17" wheels but they need adaptors & American tire (or any one else) won't mount "adaptors". Any one with any ideas where I can get some nice looking wheels. I don't care much for the panasports but there must be something else out there. You guys have helped me with so many…

I'm in the process of swapping my 77 280z to a 79 280zx harness/ECU. I have this plug and I'm not sure where it goes or what it's for? Any ideas and advice for the swap?
