Hi All, 73 240Z Hoping someone has a fix. Replaced all of my hard brake lines from Classic tube and have an issue with one line. The tube flare will not seat. The line is seeping brake (very little but frustrating) fluid from the hole in the fitting, threads on the fitting are dry. Removed and adjusted the line so there is zero tension on either ends of the brake line, finger tighten the fittings flush before final torque with a wrench. Did the 1/2" turn lose and and tighten over and over again, still seeping. The fluid seeps cold or after driven. Leaking from the front brake line from the master cylinder to the safety switch block below the mast…

Trying to refurbish these components. Top priority is locating a mystery part. Looks like an interface piece between the big plastic panel, and the funnel. One of them is good to go, other one had disintegrated beyond any hope of repair. Have looked at the parts fiche multiple times, haven't been able to find a part which matches. I understand, finding the part number doesn't guarantee that the part is available, but it's a start. Would appreciate a ping if anyone knows what this is.

In search of my old 1972 240Z. I did a lot of modifications, and always regretted selling it, but I needed the money at the time. I owned it in California from 2012 - 2016 VIN: HLS30 42879 Last known owner was in Georgia, but may have been sold to Iowa, Idaho, or another state. It has a SBC V8, and many modifications Any help is appreciated.

I am restoring my 280Z and swapping to a RB25 DET. The motor will be run by a Haltec ECU with all wiring required to make the engine run. What I am looking for is a wiring harness for all the other electrical requirements (lights, flashers, horns, dome lights, tails lights...anyway you get the point). Are there suppliers that are manufacturing/selling the specific (non-universal Datsun fits all but fits nothing!) wiring harness? Thanks Bruno

Hi My 240 comes from CA and now in Denmark. I have this vacuum valve with a hose and no connection for that? I can see that it has a connection to the carbs with some axel downwards.

I have a 1978 Datsun 280z with a triple weber setup. I currently have installed a Champion Radiator with a dual Spal electric fan setup. As of right now the fans are wired up with relays and the fans turn on with the ignition. The car takes too long to warm up like this and surprisingly the car never goes above ~150-160 degrees F (Which I am not sure if that is too cold). I want to setup the fans to turn on with a thermostat switch that will turn the fans on at 180 degrees F. What would be the best way to install one? I would like to use any of the unused threads on my Thermostat housing (Aside the one used for the temp gauge). If anyone can link one that will work w…

Is it normal for the oil slinger to slide past the woodruff key, or should the key engage the slinger? It slides past the key here.

My early Z has the hatch vents, like this pic. I have some of the pieces to replace the plastic parts in the hatch to drain the water out but not all of them. To find replacements would be pricey. I am trying to figure how to block the hole under the vents, so the look remains but no air or water will get into the hatch. Here is the pic of hatch with the vent and one without. Any ideas out there?

Any help is appreciated... My 240Z starts just fine, but it keeps running after I turn off the key and remove the key. It runs smooth as if I never turned it off. The car does stop when I turn off the key and remove the lead from the alternator. Another thing is I thought 240Z had to have the tachometer connected to run, but I could be wrong. It does run without the tach. I also swapped the ignition switch and still have the same problem. Any help pointing me in a certain direction is appreciated. Ideally, someone that experienced this before.
