An order for a run of composite floats for the round top Hitachis for the Z and 2 liter roadsters is in the works. Particulars coming as they develop. Watch ZTherapy.com or call me. I do know they will be included as standard on all carb sets and available for purchase individually. So for all you guys that have called worried about today's gas and yesterday's floats, the answer is here.

I just scored a couple of remanufactured Hitachi SU Carbs for my 240z. My former front carburetor was really worn and burning the spark plugs. I have a Far 311 New race cam and would need to purchase a couple of performance jets for both of these Hitachi carburetors. Who sells these jets? Black Dragon? EBAY?

I am having some kind of stalling problems with my 1972 240z. As mentioned before my car has a Far 311 Race Cam with 2 stock rebuilt SU Hitachi carbs The car tends to stall on intersections and traffic lights. Due to the race cam the mechanic increased the RPM to 1100 but sometimes in such situations it lowers to 700 rpm. Should i consider replacing my carbs with these remanufactured ones? Datsun 240Z Carbs Rebuilt Polished Twin Round Top Su Carburetors | eBay Any honest opinions? This carbs are not cheap!!

Or, 5 rich… I pulled the plugs today and noticed the cylinder closest to the firewall (6 or 1?), was much more lean the the other obviously over rich(Just black), cylinders. What could cause a single cylinder to be quite a bit more lean then the others? I've recently replaced plugs, wires, points, cap, rotor, 1 of the 2 condensers on my automatic (Can't reach the other without removing the distributor and I don't have a timing light). The plan is to adjust the valves, and then try and adjust the carbs, but I assume I have another issue before I tackle that one.

I did a trade with a dude from CA... He sent me set of triple webbers and manifold. Only downside is that THIS IS NOT MATCHING TRIPLET :mad: Is it anyway possible to run with this setup or should i just resell these as matching pair + one..?? All of them are 40mm. Edit: dont mind about that booklet it came with the package!

Ok. This one is going to be a little hard to explain. I was going to ask Bruce directly but I thought this would be a good discussion. So I'm assembling my motor (5/71 L24) and installing a pair of beautiful ZTherapy 4 screw carbs and E46 intake manifold when I notice something weird. I go to install the rear bypass tube and I notice that there is no way that I am going to be able to mount the rear bypass tube to the head stud without it interfering with the nipple sticking out the rear of the intake. So I'm thinking about what could be wrong when I realize, hmmm, I don't remember seeing that style of nipple on my old intake. I go over to my old intake and low and …

I'm looking for a set of N27 needles to replace my smogger N58's that I have in my 1972 roundtops. I have a set of SM needles from ZT, but I'm concerned that I'll be running too rich with my stock setup. Does anyone have a set they're looking to part with?

Just filled the carbs on my 1972 Datsun 240z with Engine Oil 10w30 as damper oil. However, while keeping the car parked with the engine running it tends to lower the rpm from 1,100 rpm to 500 - 600 rpm. Eventually if i decide to turn the lights on and actÃvate the turn signal light the car tends to stall and shuts down. This car has the following modifications: New Datsun L24 motor with crank and rods from a L26, special oversized 84mm flat top black coated pistons from D.L. Potter Engineering with E88 Head and Far 311 New Race Cam. 2 original SU Hitachi round top carburetors rebuilt with race needle. I already used a synchronizer to sync both of the Hitachi car…

After searching, every carb tuning guide tells you how there should be no vacuum leaks in the system (1971' 240z). it also states to do with this the air cleaner assembly disconnected. Now I may be missing some very large step here… But with the aircleaner assembly off, aren't all your vacuum hoses disconnected (Meaning HUGE leak), minus the brake booster hose? Clearly i'm misunderstanding something. The reason I ask. I finally got my carb cleaned out, and now idles at a high(With air cleaner assembly off), but smooth 1100-1200 RPM. I then start researching how to reduce the idle, and came across people with brake booster issues causing a bad idle etc. I believe I ha…

Hey guys, My 1971 Datsun 240z project has been sidelined right off the bat. Long story short, i'm not allowed to work on the vehicle in my underground anymore. The issue, the car was sitting 6 years. Idles like… like… a poor running Datsun. With the choke out, it runs…. Well it runs. Extremely rich. With the choke in, I swear it runs on a single cylinder. Anyhow, my simple question is. Is there anyhow I can take this carb out(Or by leaving it in), and clean it without disassembly? What I need to do, is just get the vehicle running enough so I can drive it onto a ferry and into a family members garage to get some actual maintenance and a real rebuild. The iss…

My 240z is tending to fail when it is between 800 to 2,000 RPM. Once it reaches over 3,000 RPM it is really stable. I bought this car second hand with the following specifications: New Datsun L24 motor with crank and rods from a L26, special oversized 84mm flat top black coated pistons from D.L. Potter Engineering with E88 Head and Far 311 New Race Cam. 2 original SU Hitachi round top carburetors rebuilt. I already used a synchronizer to sync both of the Hitachi carburetors. Another thing i did noticed is that the first three spark plugs are turning black. Does the failing problem has something to do with this race cam? During traffic jams or Street light after being d…
