I have 3 or 4 sets of SU carbs that I would like to sell but am missing some parts. Anyone out there have a small stash of good, used SU floats, nozzles or needles? Can buy the nozzles and needles new, but trying to find good used ones. Can't find the floats. Any ideas or thoughts?

I have made the acquaintance of a guy who has been mentioned here more than a few times. Keith Franck knows an amazing amount of information about the Weber side-draft DCOE carbs, and has invented and manufactured a number of innovations. Just last weekend, he had a 'tuning day' for Lotus owners who's cars use Weber side-draft carbs. He offered to include us Datsun peeps but it was really too late to set this up. I am wondering if we have enough people who would attend a Tuning Day for us Datsun guys with Webers? I have a friend with a restoration shop who would be willing to host in Sonoma CA... (Keith lives in the Martinez area). We could have a BBQ and maybe even a dri…

So I was working on rebuilding the SU's for a new project, and I either bought the SU's with a broken fuel nozzle (on bottom, the feed one), or broke it in storage, etc. Anyway, what is the replacement part, and procedure? I don't see a clean way to do it. Thanks! Curtis 70 240

Hey, I just need some real quick clarification on setting the high-speed balance setting for the early SU carbs. My understanding is that you set the idle airflow, bring the service screw in to 3000 RPM and then check the airflow again? Adjusting the same screws as you would at idle to maintain balance at high RPMs? I need to be efficient before I attempt it, my neighbors really don't like the noise ;P I just haven't seen it described in more detail then "First you balance your idle, then you set your high-speed balance" Thanks!

Hi guys, I need some advice. I have found some very special air horns but the length is 100MM. I will be running a Kameari intake manifold (regular length, not short) with 40 mikuni carbs. My car is stuck under snow and I cant go out and measure. Will the air horns be too long? Thanks Edit: My car is a USDM vehicle. These air horns are for JDM vehicles and their brake masters are on the opposite sides.

Just arrived from Wolf Creek Racing Todd has done a fantastic job with this new addition to my car. I'm really stoked about getting these on and the car fired up. All soda blasted and ready to set the idle and sync. Pretty close to a plug and play install. I'll be removing the current mechanical fuel pump and adding an electric one along with a pressure regulator to maintain fuel pressure at 3 +/- .5 PSI along with a heat shield and triple fuel rail. The jetting setup is: 40mm Mikuni Carbs 32mm Venturis 40 Pump Jets 57.7 Pilot Jets 150 Main Fuel Jets 190 Air Connector Jets Hometown elevation is 3200 feet Hope to install over the weekend - stay tuned for fur…

Hi, I have just begun restoring my grandfather's 73 240 (that I grew up driving too) and I wanted to upgrade from the round tops to the dual webbers. I have the chance to get a used pair without the linkage. How hard is that to find or can I use any of the SU linkage? Any help would be great. Shaun

These pics were taken in Japan at a Fairlady / Z car show. These covers were probably produced in Japan. Anyone know where I can pick one up? I've seen the one available from Borla-TWM and it's nice but not in the same league as this one. Thanks, Chris
