Due to fuel contamination/fuel starvation I dropped my tank and am having it reconditioned. I'm also replacing the electric pump and all the fuel/vent lines. I have searched the threads and read about fuel lines, evap tank and electric fuel pump. But am now confused -Today I crawled under my Z and removed the old lines and found that a previous owner had removed the electric pump and cut what looks to be the fuel return line. The fuel supply line on my car is a rubber hose running along the passenger side and up through the front passenger wheel well to the carb. Not original right? Fuel lines are actually pipes running down the trans tunnel right? Keeping the car …

I have just installed some tripple 40mm Dellorto's and have a problem with the leaking of fuel out of the ram tubes. My undertstanding is that this is caused by too much fuel pressure pushing the fuel past the seat. (The seats are 1.5 size) I have Holley Red fuel pump mounted at the fuel tank and a Speco Fuel Regulator which is mounted just in front of the rocker cover on an L28 motor. However, to get enough pressure to the third carby, I need to push the regulator up to 5psi which causes the first 2 carbys to flood. If I turn the fuel regulator down to 3psi the carbys stop leaking but the thrid carby does not get any fuel. I have changed the hoses around to try and get …

Hello, i resently put an N42 head on my L28, F54 block, with flat top pistons. I have a header and triple Weber 45DCOE's, i am having a little trouble dialing it in and i was wonder if anyone had any tips for what venturies and jets to use... I think i should go with: 36mm venturis, 1.44 main jets and 1.64 air jets. What do you all think?? Thank you in advance, Chris

Does anyone know of a good aftermarket fuel rail for a triple carb setup like the Mikunis? I've been looking around and just wondered if anyone here had some links... I'm probably going to use a custom-built fuel rail put together by Z-Therapy, but, I remember seeing some pretty nice aftermarket billet-style units at the show.

I've read that different length velocity stacks on triple carbs can change the power band. I'm thinking of using the Ramflo filters I have in a cupboard on my triple Delorotos. Do people usually have the velocity stacks under filters or just bolt on the filter and housing?

Anything like this or better available commercially for an L-series engine? http://www.twminduction.com/ThrottleBody/ThrottleBodySU-FR.html Would the setup designed for Weber applications be able to be directly bolted on? http://www.twminduction.com/ThrottleBody/ThrottleBodySU-FR.html

Are not the same as on the manual! The needles are not the same I was told... Is there any benefit to retrofit the std needles on my l24 as I am runing a 6/2/1 header with a twice pipe... Just want to upgrade it before the l28 swap.

Iam planning on putting a P90 on my L28. It has been bored to3000cc with flat top pistons. I have a mild Schyder cam. I am working with a limited budget. The motor now has an N42 head with EFI. It's a 75 so its smog exempt.I have about 3 sets of SU's to work with and thinking about trying them. I would like to get some opions on the advantages or disadvantages and overall performance improvement if any. Thanks, Michael

Everything I have read says the DCOE's don't like heat. So I must have measured a thousand different things, like carbs to brake lines, and brake booster to rear carb, carbs to top of headers. But..somehow I managed to take the filter off my breather pipe,to do the measuring ;so now I need to cut the breather down and to locate the filter closer to the block. Good Idea / Bad Idea? In addition to my Z, I have a Jensen Healey with a pair of zenith Strombergs, they leak sort of spontaniously, and a surprising volume. I don't know if Webers have any annoying habits that can get ya killed so.. I designed the shield to slope down toward the radiator and away from the carb…
