Has anyone installed a full dash cover? Do you have to remove the dash as pictured or can you do it in place? How about just the cap? Thanks!

My factory radio seems pretty sketchy. For instance, last night the display went out for a while. I have a brand new metal faceplate for an aftermarket radio. Is that the best way to go or should I go with one of the plastic install kits? Also, the previous owner removed the antenna for some reason. Apparently, they missed some rust and there's a bubble under the paint in that location. Should I attempt to install a new antenna when I get that spot repainted?

Hey group - I have a 1983 280ZX Turbo that has the tan velour interior with the ribbed fabric on the seats. I'm due for new seat covers but the ribbed velour material is no longer available and I don't like the look of the solid velour covers. I have the low-backs with the separate headrests. I'm thinking about changing the seats to leather, but I'm wondering: in the cars with factory leather, is there any leather OTHER than that on the seats? If the seats are the only part that's different, then I can change to a more authentic seat material by ordering leather seat covers. Well I haven't posted on the ZX side of this site before , so I guess it's time. Man this side of the site is pretty dead-not much love for the s130 I guess. Actually I haven't paid much attention to them either, but I bought my daughter a decent 81zxt, and she loves it. Just today her friends(she's 19) said they thought she was driving a Porsche. She also said she felt COOL in that car. Anyway, the car needs a little of everything, but not a lot of anything. Today was interior day and I decide to tackle the rear vinly covered panels that are tore up on every ZX. I don't know if this is the right place to post, but I recently put a harness in on my 79 S130 and now the rear seat's effectively useless. I don't know what use the single seat would be to anyone, but if you want it get in contact and it's yours for the price of shipping. Cheers

Mine fell. Can someone suggest how to re-attach... I tried using contact cement on another area, and it crinkled the plastic... Not good... I would like to change to fabric to something else. Any suggestions?

I am restoring a 10th anniversary zx and to be honest i don't know what i'm doing. i would like to replace the stereo system due to the fact that only one speaker works and the previous owner installed a radio from a different model z that does not fit correctly. i know that the 10th ann. had surround sound but i don't know what size the speakers are and don't know how to tell. can any one tell me what size they are or how to check. and what type/kind/brand of speakers do i need. I also suppose i need a new faceplate also? any ideas of how much money this would cost would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for all the help. jared.

I finally got around to buying fabric to redo my interior! I plan to make my 280zx have black carpet, black dash, blue gauges, turquoise head liner and hatch! if any one has any tips i could use all the help i can get!!! and does anyone know if i can use the digital gauges out of i think an 83` turbo zx??
