I have several sets of jack components that need to be repainted the red/orange color. Has anyone found a close match in an aerosol product or had the color matched at a paint supplier? Thanks, Keith

Hi all, First post in this forum, so please, be gentle. HLS30-02675 is now mounted on the home made rotisserie (came out sweet btw). Found some rot between the fender apron and firewall. Does anybody know the proper guage sheet metal to use on the fender apron and/or firewall patch? Have seen old opinions ranging from 18-22. Want to match up as close to original as possible. Advice appreciated. Cheerz! Bill

Hello guys, Im new here and i bought my first car yesterday (first ever, not first Z) Its a 73 Datsun 240z, paid 950$ for it and it runs extremely well and drives even better. Original everything, One owner, i think i did real good. The only problem is that its got a sunroof... i thought it would be cool at first... than realized that after i put a LS1/LS2 in it, Im not gonna want it. Anyway, i need a donor roof for it... and id like to get it on the cheap. So im wondering if anyone knows of a junkyard that has a few datsuns laying around, that i could cut a roof off of. Im near long beach, anywhere within a 75 mile radius is where im willing to go. Thanks for the help …

hello, ive been wanting to pick up a 240z as a project for the longest time, and i found this car at a junk yard. it needs a lot of work but the body looks pretty good other than the driver side rear quarter panel. i dont have great pictures but can this be repaired and if so, how can it be done and how much would it cost.

Thought I'd post some photos of my early 260Z with the new paint on it.. It's a Nissan color: Monterey Blue and I'm really happy with how it turned out. It's still on the rotisserie but I hope to start putting it back together in the coming weeks.. Wooo Hooo!!

ok i am in the process of a total refresh and am currently working on the rear quarter windows. I have replaced the inner and outer weatherstrip but on the early model their is no third piece that screws on the front where the door weather strip goes. The piece is instead a small rectangle piece of rubber with a notch on one end. I need a picture showing correct placement of this piece. I assume it goes over the screws that hold the window together but know where assuming gets me. If needed I can post up pics of the exact piece and my suspected install location later on when I get home from work. Thanks in advance

What was the original engine compartment bellypan color? I've seen discussions on it several years ago but couldn't come up with a hit when I did a search. Thanks

Well I've finally gotten to installing the felt channel for my driver's side window, so I have the whole door apart. I just wanted to let you all know that the old felt that ends up in the bottom of the door crevice is the PERFECT medium for retaining moisture. I had my [garage kept] Z out in the rain 5 days ago and as I pulled the old felt pieces out from the bottom of the door I could literally wring water out of it. While the resultant rust has not made it through the door, it is the worst rust I've seen on my car by far. I took a blow dryer and dried everything out, scraped and wirebrushed as best I could and vacuumed out whatever I could. I then rattlecanned the …

I have a 1970. The outside SS window trim on the door ledge has a fuzzy window strip stapled to the metal. Can this be replaced or do I have to try and find the whole piece? Mike
