Ok my z is tore done and I have been working on all the rust and just noticed I am missing something. Under my passenger fender I am missing the part that separates the fender from the door jamb. Not just the small rubber mudflap looking piece but the metal piece with seal that said piece hangs from. Did a quick check on blackdragon and store and don't see the part for sale. Anyone know the name of the part? Need to source one but hate asking for parts that I don't know the name of...thanks in advance

Hi All. I notice that the hood on my 76 Z does NOT close without having to pull back the hood latch on the hood. I have tried loosening the bolts that hold the hood to the hinge..and pushing the hood toward the cabin. Does not seem to help. In fact, it starts changing the fit and finish of the hood to the fenders. I also tried adjusting the latch and keep...but remains off enough to still be a minor issue. The pull release in the cabin seems to work fine. The hood pops up, then I pull on the latch to release the hood. Just coming back down...it hits the point of the latch on the latch-keep. This appears to be the original hood to the car...and it has not been in …

Hello, I am new to the forum. I am 27 and my pops and I are working on a few Z's. He owns them all, but I do all the paint and mods and help with everything else. He has a 71 240z that he just purchased yesterday. I saw the car in someones yard 14 years ago and we have been trying to buy it ever since. It has been parked since 79 and still has the 79 inspection sticker. Oddly enough, as we found the title in the glove box..... The last owner purchased the car 3/22/74. We git it 3/22/74 33 years later to the day and 14 years since we started trying (although not to the day) It is almost perfect with 70k original miles. Practically untouched. My driver side rocker panel is badly dented. Looks like the car was driven over a tree stump. How hard is it to replace the rocker panel. I think the damage is too much to fix. I need to replace the dog leg..

Well I am moving along with the floorpans and am almost finished with the passenger side. Now I need some help sourcing some exterior body panels. I need to fix the rocker panels, bottom of the door, the dogleg, and the rear quarter panel. Looking for a good source for these parts.

For my 280z project, I am considering air dam options. Was wondering if anyone had any opinions or experience with the BRE style "spook" vs. the Type1 air dam. Also I've been wondering if I do go with the type 1, should I go with the Uerethane or Fiberglass version ? Originally I did not want to go with an air dam, I am trying to keep the car "period correct" looking, although original is not exactly what I am after. In my eye, some of the air dams give the car a more "modern" look, and thats not what I am after. I figured I would ask for opinions however, since some front valence bodywork is required (mine is a little beat up), going with a type 1 air dam would save m…

Need some help. I have started having a problem with the spool on my welder Clarke 130EN. The nut that holds the wire spool on tightens up as the wire is pulled off the spool. I have to stop and loosen the knob. Not sure what is happening or why it started. Any help and quidance will be greatly appreciated. It has really slowed down my floorpan installation.
