While I haven't any interest in doing the lambo door thing to my Z, I am wondering if anyone else has actually done it and with what results? The cool factor is okay, but it would seem to me it would be a colossal PITA to operate, seal, and so on.

Here's a link to a great thread running on the viczcar.com forum over in Australia. Owner Adrian is going the extra mile to say the very least. Great stuff! http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,7360.0.html Alan T.

Whats the measurement from the metal battery tray to the bolt hole at top that holds battery down. 2nd..whats the size of the hole for the main wiring harness? These are on my list today. If anyone has a real good picture of firewall hole location on a 73 that would be helpful too. It looks like about 6 inches up and 3 inches to left from center of frame rail to center of hole? Thanks Brian

I'll be honest, Guys, the thought of undertaking this job scares the hell out of me. It looks pretty straightforward, but if anyone can mess it up... I'm that guy. Advice please. I have the new glass/trim assembly. I guess it's the thought of screwing up the interior panel that has me freaked out. If anyone else out there has done this and can talk me down, that would be great. Thanks in advance. Cheers, Scott

I was parked in rear, secured, area of the county jail (I work there) in my 73 z and a sheriff's deputy in a county pickup truck backed into my car, ouch. Fortunately, he missed the bumper and hit the hood. Unfortunately, it bent not only the hood sheet, but also the structural crossmember on the underside of the hood making a straightening operation out of the question. So, I assume a new hood from Black Dragon (or similar source) will be a smaller guage steel than a good older hood made in 70's. I have found a couple old hoods at Z Car Atlanta and am going to go look at them on Thursday, but am wondering if anyone knows of any other Atlanta sources that might have a…

Anybody know where i can find the lower clip that holds the rear outer panel on a 240z(the panel across back with license pate). Its the clip thats spot welded in place. There are several of them along the bottom and one is broke so the panel is loose at bottom. Ive had no luck with junk yards around here. If picture is needed to explain better, I'll get one this week.

As I continue to replace the floorpans, etc. on my 240Z, I have two more questions. First, I have some areas in the back area around the seatbelt anchors where I can't seem to get down to clean metal. Someone told me I could treat it with metal ready and weld the pans to this area. Another person told me I should be using flux-core to weld wher there is the leftover rust. So I guess, the real questions are Metal-Ready Flux Core or not?

Hey folks, I'm trying to get the black plastic trim pieces off of the back of my 260 so I can prep the areas in the recess around the taillights. I've removed the plastic rivets along the top edge but still can't get them off. What's holding them on? I can't figure it out. This is one of the few things left to do before she goes into the body shop.

Hello all I've always liked the carbon fiber look, if done tastefully, but i never had a car that it would look good on until the z; I saw the 240 and 280 CF tail light panel, which is awsome! but the 280 panel doesnt have the chrome dividers or any dividers on it, it is just open like the 240 one. My question is are the chrome trim rings removable from the tail panel, so i could transfer them to the CF panel? I know i read someone here put the CF 280 panel on, how did you deal with that chrome ring? Thanks Ok after searching some internet sites some sell just the chrome trim piece, it must therefore be removable!
