   I was just wondering how rare colour is the limegreen or lemon and lime in 240z's? My Zee is currently painted in orange but it was originally limegreen. There is a little voice in my head that repeats "paint it lime..." but im not sure yet. What is the colourcode on that? cheerz

   Hi, I don't know if this is the correct subform, but I have a question about my 1973 240z's fuel system. When I fill up the tank full, it leaks. Not sure where it is coming from; hoping you guys and your infinite Z knowledge could help me figure it out. Also trying to find a fuel flap. I think black dragon has the cheapest price.    I am having body work and a complete repaint done in my 1970 240z. I have purchased all new trim, weatherstripping and emblems. However, the emblems (which are all from Nissan) are all plastic, but the originals are metal. Will I decrease the value of my restoration by putting these plastic replacement emblems on the car? The original emblems are not damaged, but are missing some paint and the chrome is faded. Any thoughts? Keith

   here is my progress so far: So the Tabco part was not nearly as bad as I thought it would be, It is still not compleatly done,there is a little more grinding a tab bit of hammer work to sharpen the inside radius and filler (but not much). I am actually pleased with the fit!

    primer choice for rocker panel replacement

    Maybe I am over-thinking this. I am replacing the rocker panels on my 280. I have removed the old one, repaired rust to the inner sill and have the inner sill as well as the inside of the rocker panel/outer sill stripped to bare metal. I know that the best approach for bare metal is a self-etching primer but on the contact points where I am going to weld the panel on by plug welding, it would be best to use a weld through primer. Should I paint both areas with the self-etching primer then remove it from the weld area and apply the weld through primer to that area or could I use just one or the other on all surfaces and weld it up? Hope this ramble makes some sense!!!

    My car is painted a viper red and I need to pick a color for my front air dam, ZG flares, and hatch louvers. The logical chose would be to paint them gloss or flat black. But this combination has been done to death. I am looking for opinions on alternate colors to paint my front air dam, ZG flares, and hatch louvers that would look good on a red car.

    Tail light chrome trim repair ?

    My father was not the best at detailing his cars, just water an a brush. So the bumper and drivers side tail light chrome trim is heavily discolored from exhanst fumes over the years. I was able to clean up the bumper with chrome polish but did not attempt anything on the chrome fearing to damage it further. Any suggestion it as to what i can do the clean it up if possible ?

    My 240 is nearly painted, and the body shop is begining to work on the car's suspension components. What do most of you prefer-- powdercoating or painting for the supension pieces? Are there pros/cons to each approach? I had originally opted for paint--but after looking at some of the shop's undercoating work, I may go that route instead. On a similar note: Has anyone tried powdercoating the grille and tail light panel? If so, how close is it to the original gray color? Thanks!
