My personnal experience with various type of weathestrip : 1) First i bought the "rubber seal kit" from BDA assuming it was a good deal at 199$ : - Door weatherstrip (LH/RH) gripping portion needed to be install with ton and ton of glue. Door slamming issue. Frequent adjustement needed slipping out of the gutter/sill plate. - Inner rear hatch seal also needed to be install with ton and ton of glue. Fit was disastrous to say the least. Hatch slamming issue. - Generaly, i would qualify the door/hatch rubber of poor quality easily twisting out of place even with lots of glue. - Glue provided does not provide enough adherence and if you go this route/kit usage of 3Mâ…

Has anyone painted their 240Z the 918 Orange using PPG paint? I believe the PPG color code is 60636. Was it close to the original color right out of the can?..or did you modify it to match?

A member from the NE messaged me about his difficulty in locating a supplier for 920 Gold. I use a local auto paint supplier that is a PPG outlet, this color formulation is in the PPG computer. It is available in the old single stage acrylic enamel as well as the more current two-stage finishes. Jim

So much for the scratch and shoot paint job. The car was very well done and the pictures don't begin to do it justice. Took 7 months to get it back, likely another before the white interior and so on is ready to go.

Needs a lil help guys. Found this on my local CL for sale for a good price considering its painted + good condition. Only thing is the owner has no name or no pictures of what it looks like on a 240/260/280. And so I can't tell what it would look like on my 280. If anyone recognizes please post pictures? Hi all, My 240 has twin sunroofs installed by a PO that are side by side and though I haven't driven in the rain to determine this I can see signs such as applied RTV that indicates the sunroofs leak. I may delete them and put in a new roof panel where they are. Has anyone been able to put in a replacement sunroof to stop leaks? I wonder if it might be possible to have a piece of glass drilled for the existing hardware such that the new glass would be larger all around to extend out beyond the rubber to prevent leaks. I might not be able to open it then though. These leak because keeping rain out depends on a seal between the glass and the rubber but the seal is s…

Hi all, I have a leak in my exhaust and have to pull my manifolds ('78). This seems a good time for cosmetic improvements. I considered polishing out the intake manifold, but that's a whole lot of work (as it is sand-cast), and polished aluminum really takes a beating here on the coast. Original windshield on my 73 need to be replace. While MSA replacement seems close to original, price is a bit steep for my pocket. Anyone can recommend a cheaper option that can be ordered online ? Blackdragon ?

My car is in the process of being painted. The underside has recieved undercoat (colored to match the 918 paint). The front wheel wells have not received any undercoating-- I am asking for trouble by just leaving these sections painted only?
