Okay, my diagnosis of paranoia should only be made pertaining to my <perhaps> overblown fear of rust... After seeing 240dkw's pics of his on-going rust repair, I could not help but be drawn into wild thoughts after viewing the surface rust in the rear (de-skinned) 1/4's on his car. Assuming this was years of living in an obviously rust-prone area, with no previous attempts to deal with the rusty voids it really doesn't look *that* bad...i.e. no real rot to speak of. I have a ton of small holes all over my 75 280z now that ive removed all badges, molding strip, and rear window louvers. I have access to a gas welder (unsure of the exact type). What im wondering is what type of welder i need, and what procedure to take to fill these holes without warping the sheet metal of the car, or making any other kind of mistake. Any help would be appreciated, for i have no experience or knowledge in this field. Thank you.

I am in the process of working on the front end of my 77z. I got everything taken off of the front of the car except for the passenger side bumper absorber. After getting all the pieces off it looks like both frame extensions are angled about 10-15 degrees to the driver's side. Anyone have tips for straightening this back out? I was thinking maybe getting a come-along and pulling the two pieces together to get them back centered but not sure. May end up just hammering it back into shape. Anyone with a MSA bumper want to chime in on how important these piecse are as I am switching to that and might just cut some of it off. First picture is of the bumper support showing …

I have a '78 Coupe and I need some replacement Drip Rail Clips. I searched the forums and found an old thread that included the pic and part number, then I contacted Nissan and of course, they're NLA. So my ZCar Brothers and Sisters, if you have a few around I would greatly appreciate the help. Please PM me. Just reading through the SVRA group 8 rules and they list two acceptable rear spoilers. The first is the infamous BRE style, 4" tall, Nissan p/n 98100-E3300, which we're all familiar with. The other which I'm curious about is the 280Z rear spoiler, p/n 99996-R8Z01. Does anyone have a picture of this? How tall is it?

So within the next year when i have more cash im getting new wheels and tires. most likely konig rewinds, but during this process I was thinking of possibly putting on the bolt on fender flares. Ive seen many pics with the flares but I have a 112 lime 240z and I have never seen that color with flares so Im debating whether it would look good on my color. Im a pretty indecisive person so any comments would help. I also am wondering if the fiberglass one or the carbon fiber one would look better.

I wanted to buy my weatherstrip kit from datsunstore.com but they use precision and we all know what's going on with them right now. I ended up with the only kit I could find and it was from BD. Fits tight (as expected) but seems to loosen up a little every day. I adjusted the latch so I can get it past the safety latch and will move it in a little every few days until it sits flush (I hope). My question is this: Datsunstore.com states the following: "The kits are made by Precision. We do minor mods to every door gasket to make sure that your doors will close properly.
