Hi, the windshield on my 77' 280z has so many tiny pits and swirls in it, i can hardly see thru it at night or when the sun shines thru directly thru. Is there any thing i can do to repair this ? Is replacing the windshield my only option ?

Hey guys, I'm currently stripping all the undercoating off of the undercarriage of my '78 and I'm finding areas of rust in the seams. Whats the best way to get at this corrosion. I'm digging out as much of the seam filler material as I can. I want to get to every last area of rust before I POR-15 and re-undercoat the the bottom of the car. All suggestions appreciated. Brent

Ok, here is a pic of the installed banner. Went with the "DATSUN" vs. the "240Z" logo. Took it to a local window tint place that charged me 30 bucks, (and I got what I paid for...). They didn't do that good a job and messed-up the tint between the S & T, so there's a defect. Not that bad, but enough to bug me. Still, it looks pretty good and I really like it! The strip is wider than the home-made, non-logo strip I put on my previous Z. While it's somewhat transparent, the lettering does cut down on vision in the top secton of the windshield. My initial impression is it feels a bit like I'm looking out a gunnery slit while driving. Still plenty of visibi…

Someone please tell me there is an easy way to get the chrome trim back around my rear window. I gained way to many gray hairs trying to get it reinstalled on my front window, I'm sure someone has a neat trick to get it back in. Thanks,

After getting initial engine tuning (including reworked AFM), and the struts and bushing work done I'm moving on to some minor body improvements. The paint was freshly done just before I got the car. No, it is not the original color, nor did they do the door jams, door ends, or engine bay. With the engine running well it will be a while before the engine bay gets painted since this is currently a daily driver. The paint job was so so, but in a color I liked - let's call it grey metallic (not silver, as it is a much darker silver than the original silver or even the BMW silver) as you see in my avatar. I dropped it off with my paint and body friend this morning to get…

Hi. Im new here. Sorry if this is somehow a stupid question. I tried to place this in the correct place, but im not sure. Ive been reading here on the forum and i have to point out this is NOT a discussion of whats the better car! ****** (if you dont want to read my thoughts just skip down to the question) Im looking into getting a Z. Here in norway they are hard to come by. We have the salty sea air and we even put salt on the roads to keep them from freezing over. Needless to say: Rust is the most common death of cars here in norway. The Zs available are mostly expencive imports that are already shipped to norway or are ready to be shipped from the us. These are usual…

Did a search but didn't find the answer I was looking for. For those who restored their Zs using a donor shell, what did you have to do to keep it "your" car? That is, what ties a VIN and title to a car? Is it just the dash VIN pad and the screwed-on metal stats tag in the engine compartment? Is the chassis marked anywhere with a VIN or other identifying marks Responses appreciated. Thanks. Jeff Woodard
