Anybody buy the chrome windshield trim from Black Dragon for their windshield(I believe it lists for $129)? I bought it sometime back in anticipation of replacing my windshield. I had the glass replaced today by Safelite and the top chrome piece doesn't even come close to matching the car. Hell, I even bought the rubber gasket from Black Dragon too! Has anyone else bought this kit? thanks.

I been this morning working on the car. It's not done yet but took me 3 hours to do it. On monday Im going to finish the rear part. This thing bonds very strong and was easy to work with.

I have to plug this website/company after receiving their product today. Automotive touch-up HUGE array of paints, in touch-up bottle, can or aerosol. Has ALL the old Datsun color palette. I ordered two 12-oz aerosol cans of 112 (lime) on Monday, just came today and the paint matches up very well. For me, this will be used for undercarriage applications and for interior floor after application of sound deadener so the spray was the best fit. Clear coat also available as needed by your application... Just a heads-up if you're having trouble getting your paint matched locally... Good luck, Steve

My 72 240 is finally moving toward the street. I have some rust in the frame rail right above the front swaybar mount. I thought I saw a clue about sway bar mount re-enforcement on this list a while back.... The search engine doesn't help... sigh Do you guys know where I can find a good bracket or is it fab time ? Hey guys... it's been quite a while since I've been on here, I took some time off and now I am ready to start the next phase of my project which is painting the engine bay, inside of doors and underside of hood. I am not sure if its a good idea to paint the interior sections before I start the the exterior body work. All this (as is everything about the Z car) is new to me. I want the engine bay etc. to be the same color as the exterior of the car and since I am not painting everything at once I am wondering if these are appropriate steps. Also, I am going to paint my car PURPLE But I don't want Barney Purple. I am looking for a Deep Indigo Purple if anyone has any su…

I want to plate some CAD plated parts and was wonrdering if I should use self etching primer on them or not. Knowing that cad/zinc plating is sensitive to acids, is this a wise choice, or is it better to just paint directly over the cad plating? The parts I am looking to paint are some MM disk brake adapters. They are cad plated cast parts and are pretty rough so there is plenty for the paint to stick to but....or should I just use a non etching primer to be safe?

some idiot (previous owner) spilled gas and let it flow on the body around the gas tank, and there is a stain/discoloration there, wondering if there is a way to remove it without repainting. when i waxed it, it did get a little better.

Does anyone know where I can get rubber gromets for the floorboards and firewall where the AC hoses come in? The gromets on my 73 240Z were removed long ago by the PO and never replaced. I tried Black Dragon and MSA to no avail. Any thoughts? Brad

Noticed in the Black Dragon catalog that the door glass isn't listed for the 240Z. It says "260-280Z" Is this a typo/ommision or is the 240 glass unique to the model? Curious, Jim

Need some help. As you know I have been working on my floorpans, etc. I went out and bought an air saw and a cut off tool. I have a 2 HP 12 Gallon Air Compressor. Neither tool is cutting the metal. Not sure if it is a problem with the Air Compressor or what. I have tried to adjust the tools and that doesn't help the cutting. Someone said I need a larger air compressor. Can anyone give me their lessons learned on the right size for an air compressor? Thanks, Jimmy
