I have gotten the left floor panel installed and have removed the quarterpanel, rocker and outer wheel well and I am getting ready to start reinstalling pieces. My question is about the area behind the rear of the rocker panel and where the quarterpanel and wheel arch meet. This area on both sides of the car have pretty much disolved and I need to rebuild the sub-structure before installing all the new pieces. If anybody has a picture of this area somewhat intact, it would be a big help. i just finished sandblasting the areas and you can see in the picture the area I am talking about. Any help would be appreciated. Thanx, Jeff

I am needing a new hood, but all I can find are 280zx hoods. Will those ones bolt on to my 260z?

I'm going to inspect this 240Z tomorrow afternoon. In talking with the seller, he "claims" the problem areas are rust-free. He said the floor, frame rails and battery tray area are good with no rust. It's also a numbers matching car. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=140035460841&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=004 I want some of the parts off this car, I'm interested in the bumpers, tail-lights, centercaps, some interior parts and whatever I happen to see/like/need. I don't want the carbs, I already have a set on order from Z-Therapy. Any parts I take off will be replaced with the existing version I already own from my curr…

Does anyone know if a '76 280Z Hood is a direct replacement for a '71 240? Any other body panels changeable?

After searching the junkyards and finding no Z's with decent windshields I called the local auto glass company. To my shock I was able to get a brand new windshield for $117.00!! (That's me picking it up and installing myself) This is only $50.00 more than the cheapest junkyard price! Just thought I'd share this for those of you who are faced with needing new glass.

The 71 240z I have has a Datsun hood ornamate (wasn't my idea, PO). It will be gone no matter what cause it just looks...uh, light in the loafers. I'm just curious if this was an option or just the original owner's bad taste. I know he installed the Datsun indash AM-8track form a 1970 Datsun wagon. Just wondering about the "gunsight" on the hood, thanks.

The aft ends of the roof drip rails, have become loose, as if they were pulled off, and they seem to be twisted. Is that normal? The inner shelf flange is turned up so that thhe water can easily run underneath. I'd like to get them back on & untwisted. They don't easily twist back. I can get a pic later, but I think this may be a coimmon problem. What's the fix? thx

Hey, I was wondering if there is a source for new chrome bumpers for my 73 240z. The bumper align guys want 600.00 each to straighten and recrome. There has to be a better source for these things. Any help. I tried Motorsport, but the entire package without the overriders is over 1k. They are also the European style. TIA Chuck

I took the seats out of my 38,000 mile 1972 240Z and decided to check out the floors a little more closely. On the surface they looked rust free due to the tars mats covering them. I carefully peeled up the mats and found some pretty heavy "surface rust", but no holes....yet. So I decided to treat them with the clear POR-15 instead of the black so that it wouldn't obsecure their actual condition. After two solid days of treating the floors with Metal Ready and scraping off as much rust as possible I put two coats of clear POR-15 on yesterday. I was amazed by the results. I was able to carefully remove the tar mats without ripping them up and I may tack them back on t…
