I have seen a couple threads about this, but no real definitve answer, so... I have a 74 260z and was looking into the idea of getting t-tops added, but i have no idea who I would talk to to get something like this done. And does anyone know if you can just use t-tops glass, from the ZX. Or if it is a completely different size/design.

Although the painting phase of my restoration project is some time away, I am considering painting my 1970 240Z just like the factory did. As part of the restoration I plan to completely remove the existing paint from all the body panels and the uni-body shell. Based on observations of several 240Z’s with original paint, it appears that Nissan painted the cars with the doors, rear hatch, fenders, headlight extensions, hood, inspection panels, valance and the outer valance panels attached to the uni-body. The cowl panel must have been laid in place without its screws during painting so it could be removed later for installation of the wiper components. Of course, when …

Quick question. I'm putting in a new rear glass hatch weather seal on a ‘77. Is it easier to put the seal on the window (glass) first and then hatch? Or vis versa? Any tips?

OK, I'm at my wits end and my back is killing me... Is there a proper way to do a rebuild on a drivers door? I backed into a clump of sand nest to a big tree with my door open a while ago...and the door snapped off, crunched in, tore up a the drivers fender, and broke the hinges. No damage to the A-piller. So I spent the gas money, and found a door about 2 hours away, go get it, stripped it completely, sandblasted a few bad rusty spots, hammered out a few dings, hit it with some airtools to remove some paint, treated it with that spray on rust-to-primer stuff, then bondo'es with feather-light to just smooth it out to try to get it decent again. Then more spray primer…

Guys, I recently purchased #248 and am beginning the process of restoring it. Car is very solid with the exception of the passenger side rear quarter panel. I've been looking and haven't seen anyone listing them. Anyone have one that they would be willing to part with? Thanks! Bryan Dat240zg

Hey guys, New to the board and Z's. My dad had a 75 280 when I was a kid and I've always lozed the lines on the car. My future father and law just purchased a 72 240 (after I talked him into it):cheeky: that needs a bit of work. I just finished up a quick scetch of a paint sceme we might use. I drew in an after market front end also. Let me know what you guys think. I will also attatch a drawing I did of a 1950 Ford if you want to check it out. Thomas

Mine crumbled away recently. Can you get these anywhere? I looked in the BD and MSA catalogs, but haven't called them yet. I'm afraid that if I drive in the rain, the pressure in the wheelwells will spray water onto whatever is next to the hole, like the alternator or AFM. thx.

Hey guys I'm in the process of refreshing an early L24 motor. I want to know if there was a paticular color that was used on the block. The motor is currently covered in gold paint.I began stripping the gold paint off the block and wanted to know how to remove the paint from the valve cover without damaging it. If anyone could recomend some quality fuel,radiator/heater hoses. Thanks
