Preparing to "hang" the Motorsport front air dam on my 77. This is the type that replaces the gawd-awful front bumber(Motorsport part 50-1409). Stiff, non plyable fiberglass. Question for those w/ experience with this particular airdam: There is a significant gap where the air dam mates up to the front fender, just under the amber turn indicator. What is the best way to "fill" this void? I've thought about gluing some flat plastic to the underside of the airdam, then filling with something (fiberglass, bondo, etc), then filing/sanding/buffing to shape. However, I'm afraid that whatever I do, it will develop cracks with age. Ideas/experience?

I really need a good front bumper for my Z but I cannot find any place half-way affordable. Also, when I looked in some magazines, they don't even list a '73 front bumper only '71-'72. If anyone could fill me in that would be great.

hey all, the insurance agency told me that I'm looking at around $3327 as a cash out to get the car fixed. They got the quote by contacting Danny's Datsuns, and aquiring other parts from various other sources. My dad is going to be talking to them, showing them all of the reciepts for the things I've done to the car (new cylinder head, new radiator, clutch assembly, transmission, clutch slave/master cylinder, etc) to see if he can get them to rate it higher. So, here's my question: does anyone know of a good body shop in Sacramento that does excellent quality work for a reasonable price? Does anyone know the purpose of this hole on the door jamb? Perhaps to let moisture evaporate out of the dog-leg area? Perhaps it should be plugged to keep water OUT of the dog-leg area? I just can't recall whether that hole was open or plugged back when I bought the car. Comments, suggestions ...

Ok, I have done some searching out there and can't find what I am looking for, so the question (and opions) go out to all you Z lovers. I am painting my car this weekend after a lot of body work. I am going with a black, original '638 Black Metallic'. But I was thinking of adding in some white metallic to the paint to give it something extra, but I can't find a photo of what it will look like. Does anyone have an idea, opinion or photo of what this will look like? I am using white as my accent color (the grill and brake area)

I don't know whether to replace my old severly dented front bumper with a new one( very pricey) or find an old one and have it re-chromed. Anyone with advice please respond. If there is a place that actually sells descent bumpers even if they are weathered please leave info.

These are for a 70 to 73.5 240z. For those of you not familiar, Klearz.com is manufacturing 'reproduction' lenses for Z cars. I need advice as to where i can find some descently priced diamond interior vinyl for my 240z. this stuff is quite expensive and i don't have that much extra $ to spend. let me know of any places online or even a retailer that you know if any one can. and if anyone knows a company that sells it by the roll that would be great also. thanks sam
