I have a 1971 240z.The original color is a butterscotch.I have been a zcar fan for over 20 years and never seen this color on a z, only 510s.Does anyone know if its rare?

Working with the body a little. Taking it down to bare metal and cleaning and fixing the rust. I have to do it a little at a time becouse i dont have a garage. Dont want to leave bare metal to the elimants. Come on Z police tell me what ya think. Still needs to be sanded and a feiw more coats.

I'm considering adding a Deck Lid Spoiler to my 73 240Z to top off my ZG conversion. Can anyone offer any recommendations as to whether I should go with the one vs 3 piece designs in regards to fit, form and function and asthetics. thanks

Hi, I am restoring my Z's engine, so I am in process of doing the items like the camshaft, alternator and air pump . My question is; what is the stock oem color (number) for these types of pullies? I thought I saw post before, but can't find them now. I Thought they said use to duplicolor DE 1621 Old Ford Blue as it was a close match for some of them.

What does everyone do with the original emblems, do you relocate them or just remove them. Two different style wings i have looked at interfere with the original placement of the "5 Speed" , "Datsun", and "280Z" emblems.

Hi all. I’m new here. I found it while researching Z restoration, and lurked for a week or two reading everything I could get my hands on. A good friend of mine’s dad has had his 1972 240Z sitting in the garage for years, and my buddy has been making noises about restoring it for as long as I’ve known him. Neither of us has worked on cars before, but have both wanted to get into it for a couple years now. Been working on fixing the body of my car. My question is should I open this ventilation area up while I have easy access to it. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/631840/7 I could cut it open and rust proof inside, welding it back up after. Has anyone done this? and is it really a necessary step or overkill? Thanks

Hi, I'm missing one of the black metal clips that hold the vent covers in place for a series 1 240Z. The vent is on the rear deck/hatch back. Do you know where I can buy one or have any suggestions for a subsitute? Thanks, Steve
