I have a 73 Z with excellent paint and chrome that I would like to protect. The car lives indoors and came with a light weight cotton cover. But I am concerned about dings and scratches. Anyone have experience with or advice about heavy duty indoor covers such as durafin? My main concern is that it will breathe sufficiently in the rather humid environment here. http://www.carcovers.com/materials.html#durafin Thanks, Z

Anyone got the best and easiest way to remove a 240Z windshield without damaging it? I checked at O'Rielys for a windshield removal tool and they didn't have anything.

I've got a 7-72 front bumper and brand new 70-72 mounting brackets. I've tried to figure out how the brackets "just bolt up" but I don't see it :-( I've searched the forums, but can't find specific information on how to mount these on my 73. Can anyone offer me some specifics or links to better info? Thanks! -Ken P.

Just curious if anyone has a source for new factory fenders for my '71 240Z. The tops have quite a few small dents in them. Not sure if it would be easier to repair what I have or swap our for some new ones. I have tried PDR without much success.

I purchased a front air dam for a 70-74 Z from Motorsport. I had it painted and I am now ready to install it. After drilling the holes for the T/S and widening the front between the headlight buckets, I have it clamped into place. Here is the problem: The indentation for the bumper is about an 1" too short. My '71 Z bumper indent is longer than the fiberglass spoiler indent. The turn signals do not fit either. Have I got a late 260 spoiler? What is it?

I think there are 'stains' in the paint on my hood finisher panel, (below the windscreen). It looks like little spots maybe from oil, or dirt of something else. I've tried to scrub the paint woth soap & water, and it didn't seem to help, and I don't think I want to try anything stronger yet. I did a little sanding with 100 grit to get some roughness out, but I don't think it helped either. I might try a little mineral spirits next, or is there something that might get the stains out? thx

The top surface of the rear bumper on my 280Z looks like it's got some paint overspray on it, but at close inspection, it's really very small pitting? can you polish that out or something? thx

G'Day Everyone, Ive recent needed to replace my front spoiler on my 280ZX. After a weekends worth of repairing the spoiler, i tried to get the spoiler mounted onto the car. However, ive now ran into a problem. It doesnt fit! The sides seem to "bow" out where the wheel arches are. Ive attached a few images to help explain the situation. The Left hand side is out a little more than the right. Anyways, anyone got any ideas? Would heating it work? (i believe that the resin sets when it heats up from the catalyst???). Ive also though of cutting the sides off and reattaching them but i dont think i'll look so smooth. Ive tried putting a little tension on it but it that littl…

I am purchasing a welder and was wondering what would be best for body work such as floor pannels, rockerpanels and frame rails. Would it be best for me to get a wire feed welder or an arc welder ? and what would be the lowest amperage i could go?

Has anyone ever heard of running reducer through the gun after final clearcoat then opening up the fan width and spraying a thin coat over the job . I came across this on another forum . They say it levels out any peel and gives it an unbelivable shine.
