Thinking of getting the MSA Kit #2 but would much rather have urethane instead of fiberglass. Any body have a lead on where to get, like the built in bumper feature! For a 77

Hey all, I am getting my 71 painted at the end of this month and presently the taillight area is red and I don't care for it as much as a darker color. The car will be rosa corsa red <ferrari red> and was hoping to get some imput from you on which color choice or ideal for the rear section. I was thinking a flat or eggshell black . Anybody have any expierence with upkeep with any particular colors or finishes ? The car will be stored in a garage covered and driven maybe once a week. Thanks

Hi All. I was wondering where I could source a set of new tail light panel tabs for my 240z...the ones that are actually welded to the body in which the tail light panel clips connect to. The body shop removed these tabs when they replaced my rear pan, and I'm having a hard time finding replacements. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Sorry if this has been asked before but do you know if this airdam is available in the U.S. ? I realize this is a 240sx converted to a Z nose but I would like to adapt this airdam to a 240 Z if available. I stole this pic from the earlier G-nose thread and I believe this car is in Japan. Thanks for any leads.

I was driving to the State 1A Basketball Tourney in Yakima, Wash. last week when I spotted a Series I 240Z in Quincy. Stopped and found the owner and he said he had stripped two Zs and hauled to the wrecking yard. So, after Oroville was knocked out of both their games (2 days later) I returned to Quincy and found the cars. Imagine my surprize when one turned out to be a 10/70 Series I. The other was a 280Z 2+2. I stripped everything I could use before dark (there wasn't a lot left, but took what I could). I asked the owner of the wrecking yard if he could cut out the batter box area he said he could, but not until the next day (he said he'd already had 4 beers and d…

OK, I admit I don't know what I'm doing. Be gentle. The project will be a race car, so it doesn't need to be concourse restoration guality. Of course, I want it to look good and last a long time. Stripping and sanding off the paint, some parts of the car are clean and now look great under a coat of primer. But there are some large sections of bondo and numerous smaller sections of bondo on the roof. There are also greenish spots that look like rust that has been repaired. Below are some pictures. My question is: How much farther do I have to go? Obviously, if I see unstable brown rust, I want to nip that. Do I need to dig out all the bondo down to the bare meta…

Unless I'm missing something, I think it's called the 'filler', the metal flange above the rear bumper on a 78 Z....it looks like it's spot welded on to the rear of the body. How is this piece removed? I'm stripping everything off I can before it goes to paint..engine and tranny included. Going from Black Pearl to Black Pearl.

I am ready to start assembling my Z. I have the brakes and struts at the machinists. He is ready to take them to the powder coater. I should have them back next week. I am wondering what order I should put things back on the car. I do not want to put parts on the car that will make it more difficult to assemble. I am going to put on the master cylinders today and attach the brake and gas lines. I will install the wiring harness next. When should I put the fuel tank in? The tub in on a rotisserie so I can get at things very easily. Some of my parts, lines, bolts, etc. are at the platers and should also return next week. Can someone give me a list of how they put their …

How do you remove trim above the both doors that runs the length of both doors and the rear window? Is this called the 'roof trim' or what? Note arrows in picture.
