I am getting close to the final body prep for painting my 240z project. Unsure of which way to go in regards to painting it. I have some experience with Dulux Dulon acrylic and Wattyl acrylic paint systems (Australian brands). The Dulon came up nice but not excellent, while the Wattyl system performed not well at all. Now, I am wondering of options for a more durable solution. Has anybody any experience with iso-free topcoats? For cost reasons I am needing to do this at home. Has anybody survived spraying iso 2 packs at home, then please comment whether this is a real alternative DIY style. Any prefered paint systems/brands (Australia)? General advice appreciated. Am I k…

I was looking at an early z the other day and noticed that it didn't have the rubber strip underneath the bonnet that runs in front of the radiator. Was this a design difference between early and late cars?

Hey Guys, While installing my newly reparied (44014 thank god for you) i had the bumper off, and saw what my car would look like without the front bumper. I must say i thougt it looked pretty cool, and i have noticed that a few of you have pictures that show such a front. I was wondering how you would go about getting the corners of the front bumper (the corners that go to the start of the grill), im not interested in cutting up a good bumper (nor mine) so i was wondering if anyone knew of a firbre glass option? Any one selling a hatch for a 240z? The one I have now is very clean except for a rust hole about a 1/4 of an inch big on the edge of the window seal. Other than that its perfect. If any one has a clean one please let me know. Prefer white but dont care Thanks

I've searched both here and HybridZ, and can't seem to find the answer I'm looking for. I'm about to start stripping my Z of paint chemically, and can't decide which stripper to use. I suppose I'm looking for the "best" one in effectiveness, safety, ease of use, and hopefully one that doesn't destroy chrome. I read the PDF for POR-Strip and it seems like a good choice, but I've used an aerosol Talstrip and it worked well, too. just don't know about the chrome. Enrique and body crew...help?

I live in south Florida and let me tell you it's hard to find a Z that's not rust terminal. A few months back I ran across a yellow 76Z that structurally was is in pretty damn good shape. I jumped on it an bought it for $1200. I'm real happy with the find! The only problem is that well......it's yellow! It's been repainted, but it's original color was yellow too. I want to repaint it and I can't decide if I should keep it yellow (which some days really looks kinda cool) or change it to another color. The problem is that I'm 43 now and I don't want look like I'm trying to be 18! So should I change the color to something a little more mature or maintain the car's or…
