I've had my 79 280zx since 1990. It was imported into New Zealand (2nd Hand) ex Japan approx1987. I've always tried to keep it clean, straight and original. I'm lookingfor a right front guard (new or near new) and the same for front air dam and grill. Ideally in New Zeland or Aussie but will consider further a field if freight costs are ok. When I bought mine in 1990 it had extremely gay pink and black stripes plastered down both sides. does anyone know the original pin stipes I think they were a green and maroon pin stripe. hi guys, Need some ideas, have sills on both sides that are in rotten shape. best price so far is AU $450 for each side. Trying to get this car on the road asap, but yeah was hoping someone might have a cheaper alternative. fibreglass? cannot weld myself. thanks cam finnally found z rusty one.

Is it possible to re place the rubber squee-gees on the side windows (280Z)? Mine are so hard they feel like metal. I'm afraid they will scratch the windows and they don't touch the glass, so water might be going down there. :disappoin Any recommendation for a supplier? thx

Well after getting hired for my summer job I was leaving in my 78 and this lady was "straightening up" in her parking space and backed into me completely defiling my right fender. So what should i do from here? Now I have to repair all of the rust on the car and the fender, how much will this fender cost me with all of the labor? Hopefully I can get a good start with insurance money. Well I am in complete disphoria, this is just what I needed. I should be getting Wich Humble's book this weekend so that should also lend some insight. Thanks

A month or two ago I posted some pics of rust I had uncovered after removing some undercoat on what many would consider to be a rust free south Texas car. Of course the more I looked, the worse it got. I won't even mention that the front of this car was cut off sometime in the past and another one was welded on, kind of sort of. Maybe I will mention it! I finally cut out the firewall, battery tray area/inner fender wheel well, and frame rail and pounded out some replacement parts. I also fixed that old front clip cut. i've just updated my paint code page with scanned chips from the PPG catalogs. what do you guys think? here's the new one http://www.datsunprojects.org/zpaintcodes and the old one http://www.datsunprojects.org/zpaintcodes obviously i haven't finished the 260-280Z parts yet, but it should end up looking like the 240z part someday. also if anyone has info on either domestic or colors imported to other areas besides the US i would love to have it and incorporate it into the page. for example I know the g-nose models had unique colors etc. also does anyone think I should add all available data to the page such as dates when the colors started and stopped? this data is o…
