Anybody want to give the steps involved? I've got 1/2 in of Bondo at least just on the right side. I haven't touched the left. There's no way these can be saved. I just want the steps to remove the panel, no replace it. After I take it off I have to decide whether to keep the car or not. The front frame rails are rusted and need replacing already. If the back looks like the front I think I'll be searching for a Mustang or Porsche for a resto and giving up on the Z.

Hi friends and neighbours, Is there anyone willing to loan me their original 240Z belly/splash pan so that I can make a fiberglass mold of it and make at least one frp piece for myself? Also in the MSA catalog it lists two different part numbers for the 69-73 and 74-8 splash pans. Does anyone know just how different the later 74-8 one is, I ask because at least that one is still available... Thanks, -e

A long time ago (in a galaxy far, far away) I purchased a set of window & door seals from Performance Specalties. Since then I understand that they've greatly improved the kit. My main concern is the door seals. I've heard that the later-model door-seals have the metal clip part molded together with the rubber seal. The kit I have requires me to glue in the rubber piece and then snap the metal trim on top of it. WHAT A PAIN! Has anyone purchased a kit from Performance Specialties lately for an early-model Z ? Ie: 70 to 72 240z? And, does this kit come with the metal clip molded to the rubber seal? I understand that many shops are reselling the kits from PS, so, …

Occasionally I come across a pic of one of the old school rear fin spoilers. I think they have a real cool 70's look to them. Were they made by datsun? What do you guys think of this style of spoiler?

I wish I had done this long ago. I had always thought of pulling my front fenders. I just never did this due to the fear of how hard it may be. I was wrong. Each fender took me about 15 minn. each. Wow am I A happy camper.:classic: . I do have A 90% rust free Z. I would say to anyone going deep into there Z PULL THEM. I found alot of sand and road grime in there that would have started some real rut problems. Most of this was stuck up near the frame work in the lower part of the front 1\4s just in front of the door. I did find the little surface rust dots here and there but nothing that I would worry about. I do plan on scuffing off the rust dots (size if pin …

I have looked at a ton of pictures but have not seen any emblems on the left hand side of the rear hatch. My car has a 12 year old paint job but the emblems were never put back on (and some are missing). The holes look identical to the right side. I attached a picture maybe someone knows..? Thanks

Stripping of the underbody deadener has revealed past frame rail and floor repairs. Going on photos alone (if possible) could i get any feed back on how suitable/professional these repairs are? Thanks

ok on my z i have a problem. over the years and of some obvious neglect. a rust spot has develpoed at the point where the windshield meets the roof of the car. and well i was in some rain recently and i noticed that it is leaking. so the question is should i replace the whole roof or find someone that is really good with sheetmetal work. my first choice is to find someone that is good with sheet metal. but than the question is how much is this going to cost me??? so any advice would be greatly appreciated. Jason
