   ok so my z that i got the last guy like tried to fix some spots with bondo and its just a mess. that and he took it to maco and got there cheapest paint job ever. so my question is what is the easiest way to get the bondo off the car??? i know sanding but that is just going to take for ever is there any product out there that takes it off quick???    Hood to Windshield Valance LHD V RHD?

   Would it be correct to say that the valance, hood to windshield, for a LHD and RHD are the same or are the holes shifted for the wipers for the RHD. Thanks

   I am getting ready to paint my z and I had a couple of dumb questions. I am going to take the windshield and hatch glass out and I was wondering if there was a trick or easy way to do this so I don't break them. Also do you have to drop the gas tank to get the rear bumper off? Any help on this is appreciated!! Thanks, Mark

   Hey guys, my front valance is pretty banged up from the previous owner. Before I even got the car, I was planning on putting on an aftermarket front, so I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions for the front. Are there any air dams out there that don't need to be attached to the front valance? Any kits other than the ones MSA has? Thanks for your time guys, this board rocks. Chris

   Ok so im still looking for the right colour, ive thought about canary yellow to metallic orange to gold to green to silver etc.... but now im realling giving blue a go, i work for a company that makes bodykits for fords so i get to see alot of finished parts with all the different colours, the colour thats really caught my eye is the ford blueprint... its one fine colour from a distance to up close. So now i want some opinions good or bad about the colour and if its suitable for a zed (260z) i really wanted to play around with the blue so i photoshopped a pic of a zed,played around with it and came up with this.....

   Rocker Replacement Details

   Ok, so now I've got the left rocker off (mostly). Drilled out the spot welds, and it wasn't too hard. I haven't, however, removed the part of the rocker that goes under the rear quarter dogleg. I cut it off with an abrasive cutoff wheel as neatly as I could. General picture attached. My question deals with the picture attached to the next post...

    Questions on painting

    I'm getting ready to paint my 240 next month and I had a few questions. I painted a couple of cars many years ago and the paint went on and stayed on fine but there was a lot of orange peel( think it was the equipment that I used). I plan on either buying a compressor from sears-6hp 33gal tank, or renting a 11 hp gas unit. Is the sears compressor large enough number one and will it handle a hvlp gun? Also does a hvlp gun make that much of a difference over a conventional gun? As far as paint I've been told to use the base coat / clear coat type because that is the easiest one to get a good finish with. Is the urethane paint better to use than the acrylic? Lastly is metal…

    Carbomastic 15 Rust Prevention

    Hello, Just wondering if anyone here has had experience with carbomastic 15 as a rust prevention substance. The guy who is removing the paint from my parts swears by it "it shits all over por products, designed for immersed oil rigs, wont find better" So has anyone used it, it can be applied up to 5mm thick (for underbody etc) is a metal flake modified epoxy substance, it sounds great, so any feedback?
