How do I _SAFELY_ remove the windshield? I need it out to access some of my roll cage, and the FSM is not very detailed as to how to do this. I will also need to reinstall it -- what do I need to get that done? Thanks! phi22b@ck

So while spray paining my carport, I somehow got some over spray and got some paint mist to fly over my car. Yeah I'm pissed but I suppose it could have been worse. So now I have little paint spots misted all over the car. Each is about the size of a pin drip (About the size of the period on my keyobard here) and they are spread out maybe two or three inches from each other. I want an easy method to remove them. The paint on the car is decent but I had not waxed in a while. Any thoughts?

Does anyone know of a source to have Z bumpers rechromed? Mine are in pretty good shape but I want to get them filled and rechromed to do away with the rubber bumper guards. I am on the east coast and would prefer not to ship them across country.

The front end of my hood next to the headlight bucket where the hinge is, is out of allignment. The hood sits about 1/2 of an inch higher than the headlight bucket. I've tried to move the hinge but I can't get them even. What am I missing?

I've got two noticeable rust holes under the pass seat - both about 2-3" long - and the only thing keeping the elements out is the tar paper on the inside, under the carpet. I don't SEE anything as bad under the driver's seat but that doesn't mean it isn't there.... so i was thinking of putting new floors in, should i do frame rails at the same time? i know MSA has floors, but i am not so hot on their CS and wouldn't mind taking my business elsewhere... does anyone recommend a good source for floorboards that remain close to the original factory ones? now as far as actually putting them in, i've got a friend who does great welding (he's done all 3 iterations of my …

My new 72 is badly oxidized and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on which compound would work best in trying to shine it up. It'll be a while before I can get it painted, but It like to clean her up for the time being. Dwight Zless no more!

I recently replaced the door seals and "welting" on my 240. However, now you have to "slam" the door in order for it to close flush with the body. Has anyone else had this problem?

Took some photo's of my parts car as I've been pulling it down, and I'm really surprised that the it held together for as long as it did. Both sill panels were made up of about an inch of bog (or bondo or fiberglass, whatever) and had all these little tell tale pockmarkes. I knew this when I bought it but I didn't realise the extent. Even the fram rails, the most structural part of the car, were bogged up! The car had no welding anywhere that I've found, just bog. Even the C pillar had bog at the top to 'hold' the roof on:stupid: I've attached a couple of photo's for reference to show what a bog job gone wrong looks like! First is the C pillar bog, when I cut the…
