I have a 79 620 Pick-up that I will be using as my test / learning painting vehicle before I tackle my 240Z. It has a stick-on decal on both sided of the truck I was wondering if anyone had easy way on how it could be removed. You can check out the truck at Link Thanks Owen K

The rubber weatherstripping around the rear window has a channel that holds the chrome molding. In each corner is a separate chrome piece. One of these pieces has popped out and I can't get it to go back in (well I can get it back in but it's not tight like in the other three corners and it won't stay). The rubber on that corner seems a bit worn, but is not cracked. Any help on how to get it back in? Is it salvagable or is it time to replace all of the weatherstripping around my rear window? How hard is this to do and where do I get the parts?

I want to touch up some chips in my paint but I can't find the right color. 110. Can I order this from the dealer or should I just go to a body shop and buy a quart?

Hi guys I'm writing becuase I have a 240z in the garage which has been stripped to a bare shell and I planned on sand blasting the rust out and rebuilding the car ground up brand new paint etc. Now the other day I found a car advertised a 240z 72 mdl a year earlier than mine which has been well restored with the same color I was gonna do ferrari red and rebuilt L28. The car is almost perfect new bolts etc and windows + rims and full exhaust system. It's been maticulously cared for and the only fault in the car is a little rust has come back up from the 8 year old job in the doors and a small amount in the rear hatch. The car is straight as an arrow chassis wise and looks…

i really want to get my rims all super shiny without the expense of chroming. I know with the right buffer and rubbing compound it could be done...just need to know if anyone has done it yet and what products did they use? Ive got the slotted mags on there right now.

I did some heavy welding in Photoshop, bloody messy job, but I came along with that ! It shouldn't be to hard to do for real, wouldn't require to modify any body parts, just the bumper and the grid, oh and the logo's pinholes on the hood would need to be filed. But the main question is do you like the front of the standard Z, or do you think it look like the guy in charge took a long break and never came back to finish the job? I do! Fred, virtual welder

I intend to strip my 260 and would like a recommendation on strippers- no, the chemical kind. Is there a preferred method? Should I strip a piece at a time and then treat and primer? Bill

:stupid: I have a small dent in my 73 240 hood and everytime i bondo it , it slowly come out. I took the hood down to bare metal used a metal liquid cleaner and then with the help of my 4.5 grinder, roughed up the metal. Applied the bondo, one time in several layers and the next time in one application. After about a month it starts to crack, then you can peel it right out. What am I doing wrong? Outside of using bondo in the first place.

Right, tomorrow I start on my 280Z. It is white .... I want it black. I fully intend to strip it back to steel, fix what I find under the paint (and that could be a scary thing) then get it into a paint shop for the paint work. Any recommendations on what to do or not to do? I will take the major panels off (hood, hatch, doors), but is it worth removing the front quarter panels? I am also going to pop all the glass out of it - any advice on how best to do that? (especially the rear side glass - I can't find any instructions on how to get those out and have rust at the bottom edge of each). While she's a shell ... what are the must dos? Thanks for any advice, Cheers, Ross.

Delivered a '79 to the crusher today and had to walk down and peruse all the Z's they had. Only one or two 240's, maybe 5 each 75-76 and 77-78 and about 6 ZX's.....ANYWAY... They have this shell of a Z there that has flared fenders. Not just flared wheel openings, but full widening of the front and rear body, like a GT car. Like a 944 Porsche kinda. The front fenders are about 2" wider than the door area and there are vents at the rear of the fenders....The rear fenders just flare staright out and wrap around the back. Everything is fibreglas. There is no hood, and the headlight buckets are converted to square lights (YUUUUUUCK!) with a sort of wide rubber gasket ar…
