so i've been fixing my door, and i'm going to be replacing the latch, but while i was at it, i decided to see if there was anything i could do for the inside door handle. its supposed to be pulled tight by the rod with the spring on it, right? well, it is very loose, it works alright, but i don't want to put the door back together and have it rattling and maybe coming off entirely. how can i tighten that rod so that my handle is tight? i hope i made sense in all that. does this maybe have something to do with not being able to lock my door easily? thanks!

im looking at a Z tonight for $1500. All around its in pretty good condition but she says that there is some rust on the quarter panels...is that an easy/cheap fix? Should i be concerned about it? I am going to repaint the car soon, so i guess i could just get replacements. I am going to check the obvious rust spots. Any thoughts?

They just flew off the bed... There was a cube truck following me, so I could'nt brake (hit in the rear end did not sounds good to me), and I could'nt swerve left nor right, there was 2 cars, so I took one carpet in the front spoiler, and it made a nice chip in the fiberglass as well as lots of scratches in the lower portion of the air dam... Putain de bordel de merde! (I'll let you find what it means in english...) So, I have a cracked and chipped front air dam, where w…

If i'm going to cut into the car to weld sheet metal in, would a MIG be best? I have a friend with an arc welder that I might be able to have him help me but he was saying that the sheet metal might be too thin. errr... And then my friend mentioned propane torches? Then theres wirefeed? I'm confused Little help?

Well, this is how I spent my Saturday. Finally getting the first full coat of paint on my car. Isn't 905 Red beautiful? The pictures show how the car looked this morning and then what it looks like this afternoon.

Just checking if anyone has ever used the floor pan & trunk restoration kit from the MSA catalog. I have a couple small holes in the passenger side and want to get some opinions before dropping the $120.00.

I've seen pics on the 'net where white faced gauges were installed in the Z dash. Looked bitchin' IMHO. I've since found several varieties, but haven't come accross anyone making dual gauges like the ones currently in the dash. Don't want to give up any instruments, so if anyone has a clue where to find them... Thanx, 'Fink

I need to replace my seats and because I drive the car for distances, as there is no direct route to or from Idaho, I want to put something more comfortable with more support. I also would like to find a replacement out of a junk yard because of the cost. Any ideas or recommendations??? Keith

For those of you who are interested, (and don't already know?), there is an article on the ZParts website entitled "Illustrated SU Carburator Article". Depending upon your internet access and PC, the illustrations may take a little time to load, but they are worth the wait. Go to www.zparts.com and scroll down the page to the 12-18 post for 2001 under the "Featured Photo Displays and Tech Articles".

I've seen several decent looking electric and manual folding regtops on West Coast cars(not any z's though) and I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on this..Has anyone else seen these, and has anyone seen any on a z ? I'm considering this mod for my 74 but don't want to ruin the integrity of the unibody frame.. Ak
