I was searching for a new jack to replace the old rusty one, and I eventually came across a slick jack that you get with your Mercedes, Chrysler, Honda, Volve, et al. It is a pantograph design is much lighter (about half) than the heavy scissor jack, and lifts the car in a similar way to the scissor jack. What I didn't like about it, is that it only contacts the car on one side of the rocker seam, so it looks like it might slip off. The cars designed to use the jack have a dent or pocket to hold the lifting pad.

After doing some major reconstructive surgery to the under fender area I'm off to replacing the rocker and dogleg areas. Does anyone have a picture of how it's supposed to look in the rear dogleg area?

When installing a new windshield and gasket, which channel in the gasket should I apply sealant if any? I have a new windshield and gasket from Precision that I plan on installing this weekend on my 240z. I plan to document the install with lots of pictures to share with the community.

While dissembling my passenger door window the nylon guide mounted to the front of the window pane bracket fell down. This is the nylon part that slide up/down inside the front sash. If loose, should this part be GLUED to the window pane bracket ?

Does anyone have any pics of the inner fender panels? My car doesn't have them. I see the bolt hole tabs just waiting for its mate. Could somebody easily replicate them with sheet metal? Hey guys so i recently purchased a 280z hood for my 71 240z and upon bolting it up saw that it wasnt lining up correctly at all, am i doing something wrong here? Also i noticed that my original hood had some cutouts where the bolts would go almost looked like it was to slide it either up or down from one side more, not sure why, Ive attached some pics so you can see what im talking about, any advice and tips help greatly thanks guys!
