Sadly, a fellow 240Z owner mortally curled the hood on his daily driver 240Z in traffic. He's looking to get it repaired, but would prefer a metal hood over a reproduction composite hood. Please contact me know if you have a non-vented S30 hood you would consider selling and I'll let him know.

Hello All, I am finally getting ready to start painting. The only thing I can think of that I need is a front Valance panel. Motorsports has a 73 listed but my car is a 72. Does anybody know if the 73 is the same as a 72? I didn't think there was any difference up to 74 but just wanted to check before purchasing. http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/SBC1A02/30-7046 Thanks for all the help. Jeff

So, i notice that i had a little whole on the driver floor pan, the previous owner had already patched the front part of the pan, now i have to patch the mid part of the pan, eventually ill have to replace the whole pan and the rail, but in the mean time this will do.

Well my project is completely stripped down and ready for media blasting. I got a quote from a company that was anywhere between $900 to $1700 depending on how long it takes. Is this reasonable? What have some of you guys paid for sand blasting? I would buy one and do it myself but I dont have the space and dont really want to deal with the mess.

I bought an unused Ferrari gto kit from what is thought to be the 80's. Looking to stick it on my 280. I am unclear as to how to handle the rear quarters. Does anyone know if you cut the quarters for just the pocket vent or do you skeleton out the whole thing. I hate to cut and experiment if someone out there already knows. Appreciate the help.

OK. The Z has been painted. Red 110. Not well but for the most part issues are small hail damage on the hood. I just think the car needs something and I have been looking at a lot of old posts on striping. I know that this is a preference and some like stripes and some do not. I think I want something and I am currently leaning torward the BRE style stripes. Any suggestions or photo's would be appreicated. I am thinking about the BRE style stripes on the front fender and paiting the hood the same color. Not sure after that. Any thoughts on color? Any other suggestions? Currently looking at Konig Rewinds for rims.

I am getting my car back from media blasting next week and wanting to know what I need to do to prep the car before paint. Here was my plan; Interior floor pans: Weldable primer around areas to be repaired Epoxy primer Seam sealer Rustoleum paint Sound deadening material Undercarriage: Epoxy primer 3M undercoating Exterior/Engine bay: Epoxy Primer The rest will be done by body shop prior to paint Am I on the right track? Should I paint the undercarriage before I lay down the undercoating? Thanks for any input.
