I saw reproduction 240Z tail light lenses and trim advertised on some magazine this month: Miscellaneous Foreign Import Engine, Suspension, Steering and Other Parts I wanted to see if anyone had any experience with the quality of their parts. Thanks, Mike

Higuys, I have the entire rear tail lamp area apart to service it and paint as necessary. I noticed a few peculiar things and have some questions. Observations:-------------------- First, after wet-sanding the extender panel, I found that it was painted the body color, and not black. Second, the foam seal around the tail lamps seemed to be compressed, and glued or stuck to the body. Third, I didn't notice any really easy way for rain water to flow off the little shelf (under the hatch, the one that usually rusts.) Questions:----------------------- I will paint the back panel (the metal body part where the tail lamps mount) with something and maybe even use som…

I did a search, and couldn't find anything on this.. Anyone seen this before? The end results are very promising, and it seems like a viable option for a paint job on a budget. Rickwrench, Alfa GTV, Falcon Squire, Corvair

Hi all, What have any of you done to repair rusty bolts that twist off? My twisted off fender bolt (passenger side): I had a lower fender bolt twist off on both sides of the car, the front bolt on both sides. Each side has two bolts at the bottom. After drilling out the old 8MM bolt on the driver's side I bought a helicoil but the tap that came with it broke off when tapping the new threads probably because I didn't know to back it out frequently to clear the shavings. Broken off helicoil tap:_________Close up view: The easiest way to fix this I guess would be to ignore the twisted off bolt and put in a large #12 self drilling screw (AKA tech screw) with …

I found this interesting video that shows someof the many designs that preceeded the 240Z <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/Ue0f0pCptVA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Are there similar videos for the design of the chassis and engine?

Does anyone have some good pictures of a rear flexible urethane spoiler and/or splash guards from MSA on their Z's?? Also does this spoiler allow the emblems to remain on hatch? Are these splash guards a good idea with a new paint job?? Thanks for any pix or opinions.

This thread is in response to a forum from 6/2013 regarding some new reproductions for 240-280z's that would be available in early Sept 2013. I'm new to this forum stuff and could not follow the source(s) for these reproductions. Specifically, I could really use tail light bezels for my '76 280z restoration. Are they available yet and who would be the seller(s)?? Thanks for any information in advance.

The FSManual has the diagram that shows all the frame dimensions on it. It is all in metric and at the bottom there is a baseline near the rocker panel that everything is measured from. The question is where is the line on the car at the bottom of the rocker or at the bottom of the body flange below the rocker? I am going to the frame shop in the morning and need to check all the frame dimensions. Thanks, Charles

Been driving my z around for a while now, and the drivers door continues to be a problem. It wont close fully without a great effort. I don't currently have the weatherstrip installed, but I would very much like to get it on as well, to seal it up a little better. The creak is strange. From a stand still one hears a creak as it rolls off, and then another as it comes to a complete stop. Suspension is recently played with, creak was there before however. Any and all ideas are welcome. Thanks
