Does anyone have a source for the rubber flaps that go on a series 1 in the upper rear vent hatch area. I read a thread that showed how to refresh them, but mine are missing and it would appear its letting in more exhaust fumes so I need them if they are still around. Thanks,

After buying a "nearly rust free" 71 240, I took the seats out. I was "lucky" I did it at night, because when I took them out, I could see light coming through fiberglass patchwork under the seat. I got the fiberglass off to see a nearly completely gone floor. How the seat did not sink I do not know. At any rate, I now have to replace the metal. I can weld, but the question is, how do I locate the seat mounts after I take them out? Is it as simple as measuring where they are? Thanks! Curtis 71 240 72 240

Just found out that I will have to repair the insides of the rockers as well as the floor pans. I will have the car shell on a a rotisserie when I do the work, which job should I do first? I'm concerned mostly about removing too much metal at once. Thanks, Chris

What has been your experience with aftermarket headlight covers, especially means of attachment? Is Altec the only current manufacturer? Does acrylic tape attachment hold well over time? How much hand fitting is required? Thanks, Fixitman

Dear Forums, I'm in the process of taking off my stock rear bumpers on my 280. I got the driver side shock absorber off with ease (bolts were easy to get to, and it just slides out) but the bolts on the passenger side shock is located above the gas tank. Now, I was thinking, could I not just cut the part of the shock off that is under the gas tank? I'll make sure to release all the pressure first, of course. I'm planning on cutting that part and then weld up all the holes left behind to cover it all up. The bolts holding the housing for the shock will still be on there, but the part sticking out will be cut off, if that makes sense. I'm curious to know if anyone has done …

Some time ago, I sent a couple of boxes of Z parts (mostly taillight trim pieces and metal logos/emblems) overseas to be replated. I was in the process of restoring my Series 1 240Z and had acquired quite a few extra pieces over the years. Overall, I was quite pleased with the quality of the work and the prices for the services were unbeatable. Since that time, I have had alot of requests from fellow Z car owners to keep them advised of any future plans to send more parts over for rechroming. Well, it seems that I can finally move forward with project as I do have an opportunity to pull together another run, should there be sufficient volume to justify the expense. So, if…

I have a BRE style Spook that I have not put on yet. Speaking of that Arne, I would love to see underside pictures of your spook and how you mounted it. I remember when you did it but never saw the results. Right now though, my front end is stock and I intend to install the spook after I see what the new wheels and tires present.

Hey guys, I just want to make sure before I spend the money, but will the doors off a '76 coupe fit correctly on my '78 coupe? I've got conflicting answers on my searches and want to be sure before I go to the pick and pull and strip all the good parts. Thanks for the help.
