Can someone tell me what the specs are on stock springs? ID? OD? Length? The Ground Control website says that you can order Eibach springs in any spring rate you want. This might be the solution I have been looking for. Marty

OK, per Carl's request, I'll ask HERE, for the trans doctors if there are any shift kits or mods available to the JATCO 3N71B 3 speed trans, to improve shifting, or adust the shift points, or whatever? An add-oneverdrive would be nice. thx

Guys and Gals On my 14 year project to get my car back on the road, I have finally got the engine and gearbox into the car. It is a 1970 car and I have fitted a 1972 gearbox. As is usual when putting a later gearbox in an early car I have now got to decide how to sort out the problem with the gearlever now being too far forward in the gearbox tunnel hole. As I have a spare gear lever I would prefer to cut the gear lever and weld in a section to move the piece that protruded into the car back into the right spot, but I do not know where I should cut the lever and how much I should weld in. Has any body done this and can give me some guidance or pictures. Thanks in adva…

Hey, My mate just offered me a pair of R31 Skyline front struts for free, does anyone know if they would fit the car (Datsun 260z)? The reason is, they have bigger better disc brakes and new springs and shocks. thanks.

Suspension is about to be the next bit I attack on my resto. Plenty of you guys have done this and what I'm asking is what would you consider "a must" when pulling the suspension apart. The car won't be a daily driver. Its purpose is a second family :nervous: car.... :devious: Poly or rubber. Should I replace wheel bearings? Or am I better doing those as and when they need it. Diff bearings? Or am I also better doing these at a later date as and if. Hardy Spicer's? Top tower mounts? Any thing else I might need to do let me know your advise. Cheers James

Hey guys, I have a 78 280z, and the struts are fubar'd so i wanna replace them, and i also wanna lower it a little bit. The ride height is just tooo high. So, my buddy is offering to sell me his struts that he has lying around for an awesome price. He has a 72 240. They are KYB struts, and motorsport springs. I really wanna get them, but will they fit? Thanks allot guys

Does anyone have the numbers for the rear wheel hub bearings. I want to order the barrings from Bearco here in Dallas, so that I can just press the old ones out, turn around and press new ones in. Im just looking for the spec numbers on the bearing, not the nissan part #. Anyone?

My '71 240Z (HLS30039939) still has the original struts and springs. The ride is not the best and the rear sags slightly. I intend to replace these pieces in the immediate future. I don't expect a ride the quality of my Accord but would like overall improvement. Seems that the cost differences between struts/springs and coilovers are not enough to sway me either way. I'm not looking for a kidney killer suspension. What combination would you recommend for a daily driver (sunshine only) that isn't rally raced? I was considering the european springs but don't know if they're available. Coilovers are very interesting because I can set ride height and rake easily. Please reply…

Hey, My new Tokico's have arrived in the mail... for $390 U.S. I was very happy with that because these are not available in OZ. Now which ones go where. (see attach.) Also, do I need that steel sleeve on two of them. And are there any tips, tricks or things I should do during the procedure. Thanks Luke

Looking to order new slave and master clutch cylinders from MSA or VB. VB catalog details the slave is on the right, but MSA show it on the left(viewed looking forward). I don't want to order LHD parts here if they won't fit. Help anyone? :nervous:
