Clutch Slave Cylinder 1 2 3

Ok, I finally got the hose that I was waiting on to replace my clutch slave cylinder. I removed the old cylinder and hose and reconnected it with the new one. I had a few leaks that were taken care of when the hose was not connected tight enough. But now when I pump the clutch pedal it does not seem like anything is happening. The rod does not move that sticks out of the slave and no fluid seems to be leaving the resevoir. I am trying to figure out why this would be happening. Does anyone know of a reason? There does not seem to be leaks anywhere else now. SuDZ

I just installed (tried to) suspension techniques sway bars in my 240Z - the rear went on fine after removal of the diff and replacing the diff/mustache bar hanging brackets. However, the front bar (bolt onROFL ) hits the oil pump as it moves through the suspension travel. This is not a particularly good thing:disappoin . I was wondering if others have experienced this and what their solution was - either moving the bar down or the bar towards the front - or both. thanks all Q

For the purists out there, I have just bought one of these off ebay and it is identical to the original clutch MC from my 1970 car (apart from the cap and it isn't made by NABCO) I didn't think you could get these anywhere anymore. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33730&item=2480951061 Andrew

I need help as I'm a bit stuck with replacing my front control arm bushes. Ok so I've managed to get the old one out by burning it out so that's fine. The problem is the new ones I've got. The package says front lower control arm bushes. I suspect however there the rear ones. One has a label saying front the other rear but I believe the rear control arm has two bushes on it. So I think they've given me the wrong ones. As I understand the front has only one main bush that connects to the cross member. I need the rear ones anyway so that's not a problem. I have included a picture of what I'm trying to replace so you know what I'm doing. Picture is thanks to EricB's pictur…

I was planning to replace the speedo gear o-ring and change the oil in my transmission at the same time. The dilemma was that I did not know what size the o-ring was, and once I was to that point in the job, I would not be able to drive the car anywhere to get a new one. On a friend's advice (he is a Nissan Tech) I purchased one of those "o-ring assortment" packs at Autozone, and was going to use the largest one in the pack. As it turns out, the largest o-ring in the assortment pack is quite a bit smaller than the actual one that goes on the speedo gear assy. Nevertheless, it did fit in place without breaking or anything. However, due to the fact that it is stretched…

I was wondering if anyone out there has replaced the chassis in their Z car. Mine is a 1975 280z. She has some damage but not a lot. I'm trying to restore her for show. If anyone has some pointers, or has measurments (wonderful), let me know! Thanks in advance!

I just purchased a 1978 280Z r200 differential from the local junkyard. I plan on putting it in my 72 240Z. When I got it home and cleaned it up, I noticed some repair of some kind had been made on the case. Looks like someone was welding on it? Since I am new at all this, I did not know if this is something that is normal, i.e. done at the factory? Is this something I should be concerned about?? Thanks. Photos are provided.

I am getting a 1971 240Z with an automatic transmission (it doesn't work, slips too much). I am also getting a manual transmission with it (with flywheel, clutch, pedals, etc). Here are my questions: I know that it will bolt right up to the engine, but what about the driveshafts? Is the length different for the two transmissions? Also, does anyone know where I could get the manual tranny mounts? Last thing, where is the best place to get a slave cylinder for it? Thanks for your help guys!!

Hello all. I'm a newbie to the Z world-- just bought a very nice 76 280Z: http://devnulled.com/gallery/280Z-calitocolorado I've worked on / modified DSM's for around 5 years, and can do about anything on them without a problem except rebuild engines, trannies, etc by hand, but decided it was time for something new. Anyhow, on the drive home I noticed sort of a light thumping/clunking/shaking under acceleration. My guess without being very familliar with these cars yet is that an engine or tranny mount of some sort has went bad, but maybe it's something different, or a common problem for these cars. Any advice or suggestions, or something for me to check to help figure …
